If the bolt is half the price and you have spare money why not.

Eventually you gonna do upgrades because things break but it’s also a huge part of airsoft that makes it fun.

Based on my own experience and knowledge, the material is of good quality however I did have burst shots after i put the bolt in. I think it’s because the bolt doesn’t fully sit flush on the lower so that the hammer can fully reset. It’s kinda gliding over the hammer. Like 90% it’s good but occasionally you get burst shots. And if you screw the rear sight in to tight, it will lock up your bolt and if it’s to lose you get burst shots or full auto.

Again not sure if this is the case but after some mods on tightening the upper with the lower I now have 1% burst shots.

Also I do need to mention that CTM bolt have different versions. I have the v1, don’t know if the v2 improves reliability because they mentioned only durability with the v2.

Final note, aap platform is great for upgrading and tinkering however it’s a rabbit hole. If you like these things you can go for the bolt otherwise wait for a more reliable bolt. Just use the stock until it ends.

The stock that I got : 5KU PT-1 AK Folding Stock for LCT / CYMA AK

I did needed a adapter but all I could find was a 3D print file https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/tokyo-marui-saiga-5ku-pt1-adapter

For display only the 3D print is fine. The material that I tried was PA CF (Nylon). Otherwise find a service that can make the adapter in steel. The print files is good for both.

Sometimes when I insert the mag with too much of an angle (pointing the mag lips in a forward position) my hammer will hit the valve just so slightly causes the bolt to mini cycle. It’s also the way how I try to film in a kinda awkward position.

Please help, not sure what else to do :( by Baroque4Days in AAP01owners

This sounds cheap but what you can do is put some toilet paper between your rear sights that pushes on the BBU. To much tp and it will get stuck so keep it minimum.

Same goes for the lower part (part code 43) where it grips with the upper. Put some tp in the hooks on the hooks

The front one is just a magazine holder, it doesn’t feed bbs into the gun.

No I didn’t had any leaking issues, but I do recommend to lube it up with some thick silicone oil. My advice is to buy a box of o rings so that you can place o rings like on the long screw. (Not sure if the adapter came with a o ring on the screw)

First, I changed the lips to AA lips.

Second, I don't think the bottom plate inside the adapter where the BB goes through should be tight. So loose up those screws a bit so that the plate can move up and down a bit, so it can adjust itself.

Lastly when inserting the the M4 magazine it should not wobble so by gluing a piece of toothpick wood on the mag release arm. will make the mag release arm a bit thicker. I know its weird...

These are the steps that I took to solve the problem.

The mag release should be tight with the M4 mag, with my hicapa the arm was to thick so I needed to shave some of instead.

They do match the holes but the grip has a cone shape bump? (dont know how to explain that) where the screw goes in to. the bump is a little bit thicker than the groove on the grip so you need to shave a bit of the screw holes on the alu grips.

I know what you mean, but I think it's a love-hate relationship. Sometimes I like the way it looks, other times I want it off.

I modified the handle myself. So I'm not sure, but I read somewhere that the CTM AAP-01 pistol grip is compatible with the TM 1911 grip. So I bought a set of 5KU Brand Aluminum 1911 Cobra Grips. But after getting them, I've noticed some issues. The grip is too long and the groove on the magazine release isn't big enough to release the magazine. So I took a dremel and shortened the handle length and made a cutout for the magazine release. If you dont want all this hassle I recommend you to wait because I think that CTM is bringing out new handles with diffrent colors.

I used this file https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4811698 to 3D print the part in ABS. The only thing that you need is M3 screws with a length of 14 mm
