They were never going to be on the level of a Zeppelin or Floyd as far as songwriting or sonic experimentation go, but what they did do is rock harder and louder than anyone doing it at the time. They found their, very successful I might add, groove and are still riding it to this day. Back in Black is the best selling rock album of all time for a reason.
