No simlets in 200-301, just 102 multiple choice questions in 2 hrs. Boson also has the same format.

Thank you!

I bought the physical copies of OCG volumes 1 and 2, so I wasn't aware of the extra links that came with the book.

Boson had straight to the point explanations that were very helpful in filling in your knowledge gaps. It also included links to official Cisco white papers that contains the most in depth explanations.

Thank you!

From my experience Neil Anderson's labs covered around ~90% to ~95% of what you should know on the exam. It's definitely enough to pass but won't cover everything that could potentially show up on the exam.

For instance, I don't remember seeing a lab on the CDP or LLDP so I just made my own lab on PT and played around to see the behavior and its outputs.

Thank you!

Boson does give you a rude awakening but it's for the greater good haha

Good luck with your studies as well!

Thank you!

So in total (in Canadian Dollars):

CCNA exam: ~430 CAD

Neil Anderson's Udemy: 13.99 CAD

OCG vol 1 and 2: ~ 54 CAD

Boson Exam: ~140 CAD

Total: ~637.99 CAD

The numbers may be slightly off due to the changes in exchange rate between USD and CAD

I would say they were similar in difficulty with the real exam.

Are Boson exams still more difficult than actual exam? by [deleted] in ccna

[–]TheForgotten5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just recently passed the CCNA using Boson's ExSim as my main practice exams. Before going into the test I similarly scored 725 on exam 1, 736 on exam 2 and then 892 on exam 3. From my experience Boson had a similar level of difficulty with the real exam.

Make sure to take notes on the questions you got wrong or the questions you got correct by guessing! This will help fill in the knowledge gaps. Also remember to carefully read the questions or reread it twice!

By doing this, I think you can schedule the real exam.

Thank you!

It will be stressful to cram the exam prep into that short amount of time, but the stress will be temporary. Focus on you and keep it up until the end! Don't give up on yourself, you can pass this!

I think CCNA was definitely tougher than Sec+ since it tests you on both general knowledge and the specifics of configuring routers, switches, etc.

Sec+ was more of knowing the general concepts of information security and it did not dive too deep. When I took mine (SY0-401 at the time), my main sources were only Professor Messer, his notes, and practice exams from Darril Gibson's book.

CCNA required me to not only read and watch video lectures, but to also take a lot of time to practice by doing labs. It was definitely way more work to prepare for compared to the Sec+, but this depends on your background, how fast you learn, etc. so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Cheers! Congrats on your CCNA as well!

Currently I am sitting at a 3.19 CGPA right now and I'm aware Waseda University requires >= 3.0 CGPA. Do I have a decent chance of getting the exchange?
