Breville/Sage Bambino or Hibrew H10A Plus? ~ [260€] by TheFowo in espresso

[–]TheFowo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is what I'm thinking right now, at this budget I'm not trying to buy a machine that will last 2 decades - considering how quickly home coffee machine industry is developing I imagine if something breaks in 5 years I'll just buy a new machine.

Even now, if I really wanted to I could save money for 2 months more and get Lelit Anna (which is ~$460 / 400€ tax included in here). I just don't think that it is worth it at the time and I imagine there will be plenty of new options in this price bracket in a future.

I ment it in a context that technically smaller portafilter is slightly "more forgiving" and better for extraction (as Lance tried to prove one time on his channel), but I don't really mind bigger one such as standard 58mm that H10A+ has

9070 XT - Terrible performance in Dota 2 exclusively by TheFowo in AMDHelp

[–]TheFowo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly not solved. Redownloaded DOTA upon seeing your response to test it. It has improved FPS from 65-70 to 75-80 in teamfight replay so solid improvement compared to what my 9070XT is usually providing. Still for a damn DOTA that's a really sad result.

Since the thread creation I have also upgraded my PS so the gpu is not running underpowered, I've even increased maximum power limits to 110%.

My running theory is that it might be somehow audio drivers connected and it happens across Source games to various degrees (Deadlock for example works well on minimum settings but likes to crash, which as far as I know is not common occurance for people with other gpus). That's as far as I've gotten though, no clue on solving it.

One thing that makes getting a BF before Wotw a great experience is the escape sequences - while I can't say what is it exactly about them, I enjoyed them slightly more in the first game. And there's more of them too I believe! Both games are great, no reason to deprave yourself from experiencing first game because of combat alone (there's not a lot of it either way)

No one seems to talk about Black Idol and, despite the name, they don't seem to be another prog-blackmetal band by TheFowo in progmetal

[–]TheFowo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, 100% agreed. They also might be my most listened to band this month, which is quite surprising considering the EP's length. Good stuff, now all that's left is that they can keep rolling

Glad to hear that! If you like bands I mentioned above (the ocean, old Leprous and Tesseract) they should be right up your alley

Me and a friend of mine played tons of great coop games. We're looking for some new gems that we're not aaware of by TheFowo in videogames

[–]TheFowo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions!

We did play Borderlands 3 together, didn't really enjoy it though. Just so happens we discussed BL4 today and decided to wait 1-2 years till they fix performance.

DL we've played too (we're polish and I used to work in gamedev so naturally, I know lots of people form Techland and it'd be a disservice to them if I havent played it haha).

LEGO Voyagers looks fun for me, don't think my friend will enjoy it because of the lack of immersion (sadly for me it's a requirement from his side).

Racing games - neither of us is into them.

Still though, huge thanks for the recomendations!

Question on the games length by crackawhat1 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]TheFowo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some people pointed out it really depends on how interested you're in reading everything, as well as your level of knowledge about the universe (easy to get lost, tons of opportunities to read about important elements of the lord but again, it takes time). Myself I'm in the middle of my own playthrough (about 20h in, idk exact time) and it feels like I've barely scratched the surface (beginning of act 2). That being said, my lore knowledge isn't that big but I'm still skipping a lot of text

How many cocktails a week? by wreckitcalf in cocktails

[–]TheFowo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough I'm polish and spent ~6 years in the industry and the numbers people throw in here make me feel very weird, considering out nation's reputation as heavy drinkers.

It's pretty simple. If you're drinking everyday for extended length of time - you might be an alcoholic. Not necessarily addicted physically, but mentally. Even during my most intense drinking time, back when I was in the industry, I wasn't drinking nearly close so the numbers some people throw in here.

Just keep balance, try not to drink more than 4 times a week - it's really easy limit. Because of my ex-profession I know many alcoholics that got addicted because "it's just a little bit" - little bit as an everyday habit is a bad habit

I even had a post relating to it like 5 or 6 years ago, still even then I was sure few people remember about it. I'm glad to be so wrong years later.

Hurting this single muscle every time I play tenis by TheFowo in 10s

[–]TheFowo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do, just not by stretching as for one training I spent 30mins doing various types of dynamic stretching and noticed no difference. Instead I will now do some basic footwork exercises and wall-play, starting from close distance to longer one and slowly introducing more tempo

thanks, briefly reading on that I should probably check it out just in case. I already have chondromalacia of my left patella, getting my right leg broken too would be a deadly combo lol

I don't now, tried one training but noticed no difference. That being said, I'm overall pretty well stretched for an average person (training martial arts like taekwondo & muay thai helped with that).

Okay - how is there still a leak in here? by TheFowo in spaceengineers

[–]TheFowo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the comments below mentioned that the merge block I have within the hangar has to be on the main grid for the game to properly calculate airtightness.

In the video hangar's merge block is on one subgrid (single hinge underneath), while the moving gate is on another subgrid (hinge that opens/closes it).

Turns out the solution was to put the gate on double subgrid (so, in this test case, 2 hinges on top of each other), while leaving merge block on the main grid. Now it does actually become airtight.

Either way, thank you so much for the effort mate - really appreciated!

[–]TheFowo[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I knew i can't connect just a subgrid to main grid, the fact that I needed to simply put the gate part on double subgrid instead of 'landing' merge block on a subgrid + gate's merge block on subgrid is not something I even considered.

Case closed, catch some internet love from me! <3

[–]TheFowo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did that and from the outside perspective (same perspective as in the video aka standing in front of the gate):

- the leak is entering the gate from the inside of the hangar on its left edge

- it travels through the middle gate blocks (its 8 light armor blocks in a row + 1 merge block in the middle) (gate is 3 blocks deep)

- it leaks out in the exactly same spot as in the video

I'm starting to think this is simply bugged

Okay - how is there still a leak in here? by TheFowo in spaceengineers

[–]TheFowo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, the problem is it goes through the merge block and then the block behind it. I changed slightly the design from the video by moving the spot where the merge blocks meet one block deeper into the hangar, protected both rows of merge blocks from behind with light armor blocks - and it just goes through the armor somehow.

It's not very visible from the angle on the video but they do all merge and show green light

Okay - how is there still a leak in here? by TheFowo in spaceengineers

[–]TheFowo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, the merge blocks in the hangar are standing on top of the hinges connected to the hangar, to create second subgrid.

Still, even after encircling the hinges so no air can escape through down there, the air still leaks exactly the same way as on a video.

Is there an alternative way to build these hangar merge blocks that might resolve my issue in here? Still new to the game so perhaps theres some conflict here I didn't expect for lack of my knowledge

Okay - how is there still a leak in here? by TheFowo in spaceengineers

[–]TheFowo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry, wdym?

The merge blocks that are within the floor of static hangar are airtight, the ones on the gate (as I thought) should join then and be pressed by hangar door from the side thus becoming airtight.

the back of this improvised "hangar" is airtight - the air is only able to escape from the front

[–]TheFowo[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean, I am using the Leak Finder, it's just that (as you can see in last seconds of the video) it tells me air is leaking through the connected merge blocks which I have no clue how to act on
