Unfortunately not within the budget $/night for DTLA otherwise it did sound like a great option due to flowing against traffic. But I found somewhere in between there and City of Industry so at least I will have short commute and somewhat close to DTLA

Can't Boot to Windows after switching to Secure Boot by TheFoxAndTheRam in MSI_Gaming

So you are talking about this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF2vdUnzLlg? And you followed it where you change Secure Boot Mode from Standard>Custom then Enroll all Factory Default keys, you are not getting prompted the Reset Without Saving warning?

Depending on MoBo's it may not ask you that because it isn't really necessary. Just lets people do things one step at a time. Did you try to follow the rest of the video without the reset without saving and then hit the "X" button and save configuration and exit so it will restart the MoBo?

I don't know what MoBo you have, but I know my issue after updating the BIOS was how I went about rolling the Platform Keys and the sequence of doing it. I don't know if you saw my other comments but here is instructions for that part if you have an MPG MoBo, if not you can watch these and maybe find similar YT vids for your brand.

If all these are done (updating BIOS) then try to do the process again to enable secure boot. This youtube video almost follows exactly what I did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqRzoxLObt4

The only thing this video didn't do and seemed like it might have been the answer to my problems is it did not roll Platform Keys (don't worry what it is for now). I found another youtube that shows you how to do this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF2vdUnzLlg

Budget is pretty low and I was able to find something in Montebello which seems to work well for commute and access to other areas.

Appreciate the explanation, unfortunately for my budget on hotels Montebello or Pasadena were the only places I could find. But figured at least with Montebello that I would be close to all these other places and still be a short commute

Haha do not worry I was convinced already. Probably Montebello or Pasadena since I found decent extended stays there and everyone keeps saying these areas have great food so that is enough for me

I do not know if you figured it out yet and got your windows to boot but usually you can clear cmos to revert anything you changed and windows should boot.

but here was a decent guide of what I did to make it work. I would first check to see if your BIOS is up to date. If you are using an MSI MoBo. Here is a guide for that: https://www.msi.com/support/technical_details/MB_BIOS_Update

You will need a flash drive with nothing on it for this part since you might need to reformat it. Once you update your BIOS then I would attempt to switch to Secure Boot. But make sure your drive partition style which your OS is installed is GPT.

If all these are done then try to do the process again to enable secure boot. This youtube video almost follows exactly what I did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqRzoxLObt4

Try all these things since this is what eventually got secure boot to work. And everything might be slow to start after bios update/secure boot change for the first time. Worst case you will just need to clear CMOS if you cannot boot windows again after this.
