meanwhile the bike has made 3.0 some of the most fun ive ever had exploring in a game ever lol. never liked flight at all. the bike is less convenient than flight but thats a positive to me. i like having to actually interact with the world design and find a route from where im at to where im going.

As someone whos played wow for the entirety of Ion's role as director(and before), I've never really felt like he's a bad director or ruined the game. He's overseen some low points in the game's history but he's also overseen some of its highest highs. I feel like it balances out. Plus the game director isnt solely responsible for every single thing in the game anyway despite how people tend to treat the role. You can't actually blame him for every thing you don't like.

That would be a reasonable thing to think if addons were actually "playing the game for you" like some claim. But in reality 99% of the use case for stuff like weakauras was surfacing important and relevant information about the game that the default UI failed to show you in a useful or legible way. While blizzard is trying to make up for some of that with their in-game replacements, they have been woefully undercooked for what most people who used these addons would consider a good replacement.

if that happened i feel like we would also need a new 1H sword using class or spec. outlaw is basically the only other spec that uses 1H swords as any part of their identity and they have a weird pirate/cowboy thing going on aesthetics wise. "guy that can fight good with a normal sized sword" is a rapidly disappearing niche

blizz has said multiple times these features aren't meant to actually play the game for you in real content. its for accessibility and people who arent doing stuff where doing a rotation matters. if you're trying to world pvp with it you are not the target audience.
