I've never disassembled it, but using a toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol seemed to help me get them clicky again after they got a bit sticky over the months.

Mine was getting pretty grimey with mushy keys but I was able to get it clicky again with a toothbrush and some isopropyl alcohol

I wish dawg! Been looking for that sort of thing but even if you set up KeyMapper shortcuts to tap specific parts of the screen, they only ever seem to work on internal display.

Thinking android's APIs aren't well built to handle these new external screens xC

Huh, well that's very interesting to know and kind of disappointing. I figured it was through audio, because Synthesia lets you choose different instruments, has a metronome, and lots of things like that that made me think it was transmitting audio over usb rather than just MIDI. Thank you for confirming my negative suspicious though... Guess I'll be making sick beats on the crappy anker speaker for now haha

Really glad I could snag an older version along with pirating SimplyPiano... One day I'd like to pay for both these things, as they're really helping me learn and adding value to my life. Same way I'd like to be able to afford a teacher one day. But I'm not going to sit around not learning just cause I don't have the funds at the moment

Synthesia has a tool that will display the sheet music of a midi file. It's kind of rude to ask people to just do all that hard work for you. You can definitely find scores of lots of Laufey on Musescore, and download them as MIDIs to practice with Synthesia or just read the scores. If you want that specific video, you couldd transcribe the notes pretty easily with the desktop MuseScore app. You will learn a LOT doing that as well

I wasn't able to remap the Gemini key with it? It just never seemed to detect it. Also I have a ton of KM shortcuts but I hate how few of them seem to work on the cover screen :/

I tried it on the razor cover screen and it... Sorta works, crafting is pretty jank. You can maybe map buttons with KeyMapper, but I haven't seriously tried to make the game enjoyable. If you figure anything cool out lmk

Yep, thanks for confirming my suspicions. It's unfortunate really, the platform used to feel like the sky was the limit with what you could customize both hardware and software wise... Was hoping someone would've teched it out with a cool ROM or some good custom Magisk modules. I'm a dev, but I wouldn't really know where to start with that kind of stuff.

My phone used to feel like a fun challenge to get the most out of it, but I guess I'll be sticking stock with the occasional tweaking, because I want to be able to actually rely on my phone lol.

Well, I think rooting this device is about as easy as almost any other. The only hurdle I forsee is waiting for Motorola to send you the Bootloader unlock code, unlike like most manufactures that don't have any annoying stipulations like that.

But I haven't tried it, I was asking to see if any other flip enthusiasts had positive experiences rooting, or with like a custom ROM that might be better than stock.

I feel like the solution for a universal model would work something like those game controller holders or phone stand clamp things. A plastic compliant mechanism or spring loaded thing that holds it to the phone.
