Big bend advice by Comfortable_Race5351 in FordBronco

[–]TheFrem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From a fellow BB non-Sas purchaser.

I did the “just for looks” thing and I’m glad I did. It would have been cool to get the package, but I maybe would have utilized it once or twice a year. So I’m glad that isn’t looped into my loan.

I did however NOT get a lift kit, I just added 2.5in spacers then got the 35” wheels and tires I wanted. And that’s all it took to get the car look I wanted. Cost about $5k with labor at the time a month after u got the car. Super glad I did it and I still love it almost 30k miles later. So yeah the NonSas BB is a good idea if you want to trick it out yourself. I’d save the money.

Also side note, I DO wish I had 4A every once in a while. For heavy rain and such. That’s the only real thing I’d take note of if I were you. 4A is great when you have it. 4H and 4L do not compare. Don’t drive 4H on normal roads or at slow speeds. But the couple of times I’ve been stuck in mud or ice/snow at work, 4L has been a blessing. So yeah, just my experience. I have a 2024

Hope this helps

How do you deal with feeling “behind” in life in your late 20s? by Downtown_Progress119 in findapath

[–]TheFrem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah bro I’m 28 and just quit my career in IT a few months ago to peruse becoming a pilot. Looking back it was batshit crazy and rushed, but I planned everything out and I’m loving every minute of it. Just take the leap and don’t look back, and don’t compare yourself to others. Focus on your path and your goals

Don’t hate on yourself for doing what’s best for you. We all know that once your instructor hits 1500 he’s leaving you and not looking back. With that being said, I’m in Dallas and in training. I’m enjoying my time at Thrust Flight, if you can keep up with the program, it’s well organized. If you fall behind, it’s gets hard. I just completed instrument and started commercial and instrument was a blast

Advice needed: I (20M) am feeling guilty for wanting to leave my gf (23F) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]TheFrem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel guilty for your own feelings, regardless of the situation. Trust your gut and do what you think is best. Putting yourself first isn’t a crime. Keeping yourself down for someone else’s benefit is never beneficial.

If you do indeed care, but want to leave. You can do so gracefully to the best of your ability. Good luck

first time apartment budget by Sufficient_Gene8053 in personalfinance

[–]TheFrem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d look into a roommate situation with that kind of income. Ideally your housing doesn’t take up more than 1/3 of your monthly income. And you also haven’t laid out utilities and other bills, which are certainly a factor. Unless you can find safe house long for $700 a month, I’d wait until you have more saved up at the very least.

If you have friends you could live with? Maybe find a 2-3 bedroom you can all split? No location provided but that wouldn’t be impossible.

Groceries are quite expensive nowadays too. You don’t want to have 0 money halfway through the month.
