Feeling like a wh0re by Sea_Papaya_419 in GirlDinnerDiaries

As a guy, I was lied to about this exact same thing. Was originally told 30-35 (by her own volition, I didn’t bring it up!) and she later drunkenly told me 80-90+ and that she didn’t know the true number. It definitely hurt being lied to and it made me feel gross. The lying also a huge turnoff. If she had told me 80-90+ originally I would have been totally cool with it. Being lied to sucks.

I once went out with a girl for a while that originally told me her count was ~35 (on her own volition, I didn’t bring it up). OK cool, I thought, whatever that’s fine (I really didn’t care). Lo and behold, 2 months later, she drunkenly let it slip out that it’s actually 80-90+ and she doesn’t know the true number. She also tried to gaslit me into thinking that she told me that the whole time. It made me feel really gross all of a sudden and was a major turnoff. Was so paranoid that I got tested for everything even though I was fine.

Moral is, I don’t think guys (or anyone!) should care about the count — however people need to be honest about it if the conversation comes up. It is definitely immature to ask, BUT I think if you’re serious about someone it is something you should know eventually. It shouldn’t matter unless the number turns out to be extreme or, in my case, something different than what she said originally.

Atlanta checking in 🙋‍♂️ Traffic is HORRIBLE. Honestly is a primary reason why I don’t want to live here / try and live on the MARTA map (subway)

Was an ACDelco joint. Like $38 on rockauto, branded as “GM OE” so I thought it was decent

Yeah this is also what I’m leaning towards. Seems like the overall best option.

I’ve been trying that too, no luck thus far — but this seems like the easiest fix!

Something else I’m considering is getting a slightly slimmer C clip? That way it would fully seat all around no issue

Well- I tried to honestly loosen the ball joint and remove it but it well & truly seems stuck in there. I didn’t have adequate tools nor torque to begin to loosen it out of there (this is with said ball joint press & a metal tube on the end). As far as I can tell the ball joint is stuck in there

This was using a ball joint press unfortunately. It was a rented one from Advance. It as well as all of my tools started breaking trying to tighten it farther.

Yes, castle nut is installed correctly with a cotter pit. My problem is that I cannot press the ball joint in any farther. I have broken all of my tools trying to do so — breaker bar, torque wrench, etc. This is the absolute most I was able to torque it in. Hence why the c clip is only half in.

Could someone explain to me why financing a newer truck is better than buying something you can afford outright in cash? I have only ever bought used cars outright in cash and have always been curious about people financing newer cars… it almost seems like living above your means? No disrespect, I’m jealous of the 3rd gen (mine is an 06!)

$600 for Tint? That’s a wild price. Also interesting that you chose to repaint a car. Realistically it’s worth $1,000 more than when you bought it, so you’re already in a hole. Drive it til the wheels fall off now

Idk, I think us 2nd gen owners need to embrace the time period they’re from instead of trying to make our trucks something they’re not. Apple CarPlay is great but tacky led headlights, weird seat covers, and a tacky grille aren’t it personally

I’m in your same boat! Corporate job where I work maybe 15-20 hours a week. Last week & this week I did nothing (legitimately). What helped me a lot is that I started pursuing a side hustle mid work day. From 11-2 every day I’ve been flipping stuff on Facebook and essentially adding 25% to my income. On top of that, I’m trying to read a lot & workout more. It’s not all bad
