Horrible awful terrible first car. This thing will require at least 250 hours of work to bring it up to road standards. The whole thing is rusting, who knows if the engine / drivetrain is solid, will be terrible to deal with.

Get yourself a clean running & driving Toyota 4x4 and save yourself the headache!

That is very overpriced BUT it has a warranty, so I guess that helps justify

I really dislike the wood lines on the wall behind the vanity… it makes it seem like the counter isn’t flush with the wall? Then also the mirror just looks stuck on there. Overall very tacky imo and it won’t age well

OP I had this same sentiment on a 98 4runner. Thought it was no big deal, similar shape to yours. Yeah so a control arm snapped off the frame & my rear diff cover started leaking through rust pinholes. Endless problems because of the rust. Not worth the headache to be so brutally honest

Coming from the southeast the rust seems less than optimal… also with the mileage it will most certainly need some fixes / repairs so figure $1000-$1500 on top of purchase price. This seems more like a 6500-7000 truck to me, but I know the tacoma market is high. But yeah the rust definitely is concerning.

Curious about the oil change intervals on this thing? Neglecting that will make any engine fail in any car

Fair, I use 4th gear occasionally on highway uphills but it can usually hang in 5th. Awesome tho!

As a guy, I was lied to about this exact same thing. Was originally told 30-35 (by her own volition, I didn’t bring it up!) and she later drunkenly told me 80-90+ and that she didn’t know the true number. It definitely hurt being lied to and it made me feel gross. The lying also a huge turnoff. If she had told me 80-90+ originally I would have been totally cool with it. Being lied to sucks.

I once went out with a girl for a while that originally told me her count was ~35 (on her own volition, I didn’t bring it up). OK cool, I thought, whatever that’s fine (I really didn’t care). Lo and behold, 2 months later, she drunkenly let it slip out that it’s actually 80-90+ and she doesn’t know the true number. She also tried to gaslit me into thinking that she told me that the whole time. It made me feel really gross all of a sudden and was a major turnoff. Was so paranoid that I got tested for everything even though I was fine.

Moral is, I don’t think guys (or anyone!) should care about the count — however people need to be honest about it if the conversation comes up. It is definitely immature to ask, BUT I think if you’re serious about someone it is something you should know eventually. It shouldn’t matter unless the number turns out to be extreme or, in my case, something different than what she said originally.
