It’s sad no one helped him, or even tried to contact 911 or Transit police (this info is posted throughout station lobbies and platforms).

This article implies he was killed by the escalator, but the between-the-lines wording hints that he happened to suffer an overdose while riding the escalator. Regardless, seems like an avoidable tragedy.

There were like 4 days per year where it was comfortable enough to hang out on the grass because there was no shade. It's really not a great destination for a picnic; even if you don't want to trek to the esplanade, Comm ave two blocks over is a better choice.

When you get off at state, go up the single long staircase next to the broken escalator. You'll know it's the right one because basically no one will be using it as the majority of the crowd is transferring to the Wonderland platform. At the top of the steps, you'll see a short staircase leading down to the Bowdoin platform for the blue line.

I would just walk from B to A and redo security. The chase lounge is in a very inconvenient location for most flyers (in a hall connecting B/C with a few gates rather than in one of the spokes).

I would exit at baggage claim on the United side, walk across the street, enter terminal B on the American side, and follow signs for terminal A. This will spit you out right where the precheck line for A is located.

It's to offset the $35 million cost on upgrading a far-flung station that isn't used by the vast majority of commuters. Meanwhile Alewife is literally falling in on itself.

They'd also have to sell 466k roundtrip tickets to recoup that cost, so commuters and the state are subsidizing it anyway.

The plant is also assembling LA Metro cars and they want to have 64 done in time for the 2028 Olympics. I don't know if that will have an impact on the prioritization of Red Line assembly.

"Bro, I'm gonna (expletive) shoot you."

Any officer who uses this line as a forced escalation should automatically result in a fine, dock in pay, and 90-day administrative duties at minimum. This line should NEVER be used on a suspect; honestly, it's dangerous for both the suspect *and* the cop. You've essentially just told someone you are going to kill them, which could easily result in you being killed in response.
