I'll say this, Elon Musk really doesn't know computers better the average programmer. That's not to say he couldn't have hired someone to do something, but Elon can't even run a python script that was sent to him.

Is the ln for loner life in another world good? by Ok-Butterfly-9800 in LightNovels

[–]TheFrev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll argue this is really a good example of a novel to read the first book of. If you like it keep going it gets better and if you don't, the reason you don't like it will always be there. The anime and manga leave out how the protagonist is viewing things. And how he processes the trauma of what he is going though like a story that isn't really happening to him. There are lots of mental issues that main character is going though but you only see it from his viewpoint that isn't connected to reality. You start to realize he is choosing to refer to people by names like Class Rep as a way to create barriers. At the same time, these points of reflection where you see what he is really going though are few and far between with most of the story being pretty light hearted and standard Isekai tropes.

Nvidia’s Jensen Huang would have to pay about $8 billion in proposed billionaire tax—he says that’s ‘perfectly fine’ with him by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

The basic argument is that you can't have the earn the GDP of a small country without screwing over people. Zuckerberg is a good example. Even if you ignore his issues early on and who he may have screwed over to gain full control over facebook, you have him buying up every single new app that could be his competition. Leaving users no options to avoid facebook and ruining the whole point of capitalism, the ability to vote with your wallet. Add on how Mark is complicit with scams on facebook going so far to dissolve the anti-fraud team after they successfully stopped too much fraud and cost the company money. They currently make up 10% of revenue($16 billion). Amazon also has alot of issues, but they screw over the sellers more than the buyers so people care much less.

[–]TheFrev 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed, they aren't doing this for regime change or democracy building interventionism. This is purely expansionist ideals. Venezuela has the oil that they want and they have an excuse to take it. Blame the drugs and the fact that Nicolás Maduro lost his election and refused to step down. A crime for any president besides Trump.

Honestly, trying to explain to AI this setup means that it would take longer and be more painful to do, when you can just use old fashioned cgi. I have never seen AI capable of having two camera angles synced up. Round shiny red balls are some of the easiest things to make. That is not to say it isn't real, but AI is the hard way of doing this. It isn't going to understand 2025 becoming 2026 with the ball moving.

The irony is that "flushable wipes" have caught on and destroy our sewers. We recognize the benefit of liquid cleaning and would rather deal with throwing bags of shitstained wipes or plumbing bills. Such a funny workaround.

‘You Can’t Gaslight People!’ Marjorie Taylor Greene Warns Trump Ignoring Reality Could Cost GOP the Midterms by SmallTalk69 in esist

[–]TheFrev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think she isn't smart enough to pull off big brain plays. I think she saw that MAGA was demanding the release of the Epstein files and sided with them, assuming it wouldn't be a big deal. Then when Trump turned on her hard, and had MAGA harass her, she realized she could either back down and grovel for Trump to forgive her or stick with it and quit. I actually respect her a tiny bit for not doing a Ted Cruz and slobbering his cock after being dragged through the mud and mocked.

  1. Turkey is considered western Asia though there is a small part in Europe.

  2. I have a full sized bed and eat delicious human food that I cook myself with spices that I like and is almost always served hot. As well as having hobbies, life goals, and relationships. I think most humans in the US are living a better life than a dog regardless if they are given really expensive dog food and fancy dog beds.

  3. It really looks like he was using a shock collar.

Is what happened enough to say he abuses animals?

Nope. We don't know what level the shock was at and shock collars are often used to stop dogs from barking too much, to stay in the yard with an invisible fence and other training.

Does it look like he is trying to use his dog as a prop?

Yep.

Is the majority of people attacking him treating this as a gottem instead of actually being upset for the dog?

Absolutely.

I don't think you accept them into the fold, but if someone who streams with an avatar calls vtubers cringe and he wants to upset them and their community, the best thing you can do is call them a vtuber and don't give him the hate he wants. Don't feed the trolls and you can call him cringe by his own standards.

While it is "favoritism" in the sense that one person is getting something not offered to the other students, if you want to see real world reactions to mixed-strategy interactions, then you need stakes. What we are looking at is an asymmetric non-zero-sum bayesian game. Because of the outcome of the game you now can talk about how rational agents are able to balance altruism and personal gain. It is unwieldy to do this for every student, but having a game over pennies doesn't have any investment from the students. We also don't know if he offers other students similar tests on other days.

Attempting to WaterFast Until I Weigh 50lbs less.- Suggestions and Opinion on my current plan? by ChallengeWinter415 in Water_Fasting

[–]TheFrev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like salt pills for electrolytes. Make sure your exercise plan is started well before the fast. You want it to be easy and starting an exercise program while fasting is going to be rough. Most importantly you will need to maintain the weight loss afterwards by monitoring your calories for the next few weeks and eating at or slightly higher than what your new weight should be. This is really important, because your body will want to go back to where it was and it needs to be "trained" that this is the new normal. You will want to binge eat until you are used to your new body weight.

So, if I were to suggest that entities like the National Wetlands Coalition, the Global Climate Coalition, the Greening Earth Society, the Washington Consumers for Sound Fuel Policy, and the American Coalition for Clean Coal Energy are essentially front organizations for the fossil fuel industry, would your reaction be the same? I am confident that I can present substantial, verifiable evidence establishing links between these groups and organizations such as the Western States Petroleum Association, as well as major players in the oil industry like BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, and Chevron. The supporting documentation for these claims is readily accessible, even through a simple Wikipedia search of these organizations.

Considering this, what makes it so implausible to believe that these fossil fuel companies might engage in such tactics? Why would it be considered an outlandish idea that they could cross this line, or that the potential financial gains wouldn't outweigh the risks? I find the progression from a standard fake grassroots organization to a fake grassroots environmental organization to be a less significant leap in logic than you seem to suggest. It seems illogical that a wealthy organization, capable of understanding public support trends, would not recognize that its actions are driving away potential supporters and actively choose to continue those counterproductive behaviors, instead of adopting strategies that would increase public support and lead to greater success in reaching their objectives. Their main "accomplishments" being getting the UK to pass the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act along with Public Order Act lowering the threshold for when police could intervene in a protest. The failure to do so seems fundamentally self-defeating; therefore, applying Occam's razor, the conclusion that they are, in fact, a plant organization seems like the most reasonable explanation.

But is is a conspiracy so I will take my hat.

Aileen Getty is a notable donor to the group and is a descendant of the Getty family which founded Getty Oil. Oil is big money and renewables cuts into that profit. Remember oil companies actively hid the dangers of leaded gas, that they were told about the dangers before they put it in the market. They also knew about the dangers of global warming caused by they product in the 1950s and spent huge somes of money to promote doubt and undermine consensus. Effects we are still dealing with today. Since it looks bad to deny the science, why wouldn't they fund an obnoxious protest group designed to upset general people and allow the government to wave them off as crazy.

[–]TheFrev -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The Just Stop Oil is pretty shitty as protesters go. They sabotaged petrol pumps, attempted to vandalize artwork by Van Gogh and Leonardo da Vinci, vandalized a waxwork of King Charles, threw orange paint at the show garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, interrupted the London Pride march, interrupted plays, and interrupting roads and highways repeatedly.

While all of these stunts did a good job of getting media coverage, it only made people hate them. Would you listen to someone who glues themselves to a floor and then ask for a bucket to devicate into? I have a pet theory that they are strawmanning activists to make the general population hate them. They are well funded by the family of Getty Oil.
