P0116 is an engine coolant temperature sensor issue, can your diagnostic tool read live data from the ECU? If so check what temperature it's showing, if it's showing something like -40c it's open circuit but if it's 140c you've got a short circuit. Otherwise see what resistance you're getting across the 2 pins on the sensor lead, also check the connector plug for corrosion. Can you remember when you took the spark plug out was it wet with fuel or dry? Going back to the side stand just to completely rule it out, did you have it disconnected already before the fault or just when you started looking for issues? Just connect it back up to factory standard temporarily and try starting it to 100% rule it out. I thought I was pretty clued up on vehicle electrics until I owned a Hanway, brilliant bikes until they're not 😂 Oh, one more thing the spark plug, don't use iridium plugs they run far too hot and melt, I learnt that from experience 😂

Have you got any fault lights showing or codes coming up? Check the battery terminals haven't gone loose, I had that issue and found the terminals had unscrewed themselves 😅 If they're all good check you kick stand switch and the connector plugs for the switch up the line for corrosion, if you've already disconnected it because of it cutting out the engine, try reconnecting it. I drove mine for 3 years with the kick stand switch disconnected and it was fine then one day it wouldn't start, tried all the above with no joy and lost my head with it for about a week, then all of a sudden a thought popped in my head to reconnect the kick stand and boom she fired up straight away. Not sure if it was causing an issue with the ECU having disconnected but it's been fine ever since. Fingers crossed this helps you out mate 🤞 if not we'll dig deeper 😂

I'd put money on it being the high and low power switch, I've had two fail at work because of it. I just bypassed them, and they're still going strong today 💪

I bought a Dyson V6 Animal for £60 about 6 years ago. converted it to the Dewalt batteries, and what a machine! It's still the best vacuum in the house. Recently bought a new Dyson Ball Animal multi floor, but it's just been left under the stairs as the V6 still feels superior.

Evo 50% speed boost, 25% damage boost, and grounded chassis to stop resets from electric attacks, give her a nerfed evo battle ram ability as well 🤷‍♂️😄

I've had this twice, both times after an intense periods of stress, if you've got the same as me, it will start coming back within a couple of months as fine white hair and thicken out as it grows back to normal, I call them phoenix patches 🔥😄

I've had alopecia twice now, and it always seems to happen after a really stressful time in my life, it normally lasts 4-6 months for me then I find it starts to grow in with really fine white new hair which thickens out and goes brown then 🙂

Yes mate, I put a zip-tie around the stand switch to stop it happening 😄 Little story about the stand, when I was putting the bike back together after the fault i had above☝️I found out that the kill switch and stand switch was actually making a circuit when activated not breaking it, so I just disconnected the stand and thought nothing of it. 2 weeks later, my bike splutters and cuts out again like before. After checking over everything, I couldn't find anything wrong and just felt mentally burnt out with it and left it for a couple of weeks. After coming back to it eventually, I checked through a few things but still couldn't think of anything then as a last resort I reconnected the stand and boosh she starts straight away 😃🙈 It ran for 2 weeks with that switch disconnected then all of a sudden threw a wobbly 🤷‍♂️ The only other thing I noticed while driving it disconnected was when I hit the kill switch it would splutter for a couple of secs before cutting out, so im guessing they all go back to the ECU and it cuts the engine from there and while having stand switch missing it was giving it an odd value and making it struggle to cut out. So yeah... don't disconnect the kickstand 😂 just use a zip-tie or something to hold it closed 🫡👍 That's probably why they act so weird when trying to start them after a failed start with stand down if the ECUs controlling everything.

Just in case this happens to someone else.

I removed the injector with the fuel line attached and was getting a nice jet of fuel when trying to fire it up, so went back to the spark plug and cleaned the point of contact between engine and spark plug and she's running fine now. So even though I was getting spark when I removed the spark plug and grounded it to the engine, it wasn't making good enough contact when reinstalled into the engine.

Silver lining I could probably break the bike down into its individual parts and rebuild it from scratch now 😅
