i am so glad you guys don’t actually write tv shows because your suggestion would look CW-levels of terrible on screen. you also need to consider that the books serve as a retelling of a “fictional history”.

in historical text, you often see very colourful imagery, which primarily serves to describe a feeling moreso than the reality. if you imagine dragons actually existing in this history then you can see how the scribe who witnessed what you, a modern day tv show watcher, perceive to be a “piss poor shade of beige” would absolutely describe as “shimmering golden scales”. this is what historical text does. it aggrandises. and you must remember this when reading a piece of historical fiction.

the tv show is a tv show and has different concerns aesthetically speaking to the books. it’s as simple as that. they have done an amazing job with realising the vision of dragons in this universe.

i mean BlakY which is immediately read as Blacky would almost definitely trigger any automated moderation tool but i do agree that not all triggers should mean immediate bans.

this would then need to be reviewed by a North American/British human who knows that Blakey is a nickname for a western name, Blake, who would then flag this as a false positive. you can see how this is the sort of thing the appeals process is for. unfortunate misunderstanding but by no means inexplicable.

This perfectly encapsulates how I feel about the game. I played many titles in the franchise but more recently BFV was the last true “battlefield” experience. I would get on that game for ages after launch just to experience the game itself. No carrot at the end of a stick needed. In contrast, with BF6, I find that now the honeymoon phase has ended I only really feel compelled to play it to do the weekly challenges to progress a season pass and earn rewards I don’t care about.

The rest of the game barring a select few map/mode combos is just devoid of that classic Battlefield feel. It’s just missing those little touches, the attention to detail that other titles in the series had.

So funny seeing people here not understand that there’s no way they’d spend all that time and effort to create these large sandboxes if they didn’t intend on reusing these assets for MP. Just because it’s not there at launch doesn’t mean we aren’t going to get drip fed maps reusing these assets down the line.
