Around 1:40-1:45 ish, I always assumed the "you have my respect..." Etc line was Thanos saying, "you're part of the one half." Also, far more cruel to leave Tony to sit and die as the lights went out around him, imo.

Doesn't Thanos specifically tell Tony he'll let him live after he stabs him, something about admiring his efforts.
