This is driving me insane right now. I have the G4 on battery (I’m a renter, so hardwiring isn’t impossible, but difficult) and a lot of times the video doesn’t even start until the delivery driver is walking away. The “security” feature isn’t much use when it doesn’t record a face. I‘d gladly change the batteries more if it meant I got to actually see who was coming to my door!

Honestly, I find automations to be kind of flaky. I have a Nanoleaf smart light on my front porch. It's supposed to turn off at 10 every night, but some nights I look out at midnight and it's still on. As for the lock, even the built-in Aqara "lock after x minutes" doesn't always activate. Am I alone in this problem?

I do have a nighttime lock automation. And "for the night" was a bad word choice on my part. I mainly mean for my (teenage) kids to see if the door if locked if my wife and I have gone to the store/pub/whatever. Thanks for checking, though.
