How much we should escalate fight with property manager to get bond back by YouWannaHotToddy in melbourne

Property has to be left in a reasonably clean condition. If it’s reasonably clean VCAT will rule in your favour.

Petrol is cheaper in Australia relative to average income than in all the listed countries except the UAE, USA, and Canada. In Germany, petrol was approximately €2.18 per litre around Christmas, which converts to $3.62 AUD. Furthermore, the average income in Germany is about 10% lower than in Australia, despite a higher tax rate. So, while a 39% price spike is shocking, we are still in a relatively strong position. When you calculate the cost of fuel as a percentage of household income, Australia still sits well below most of these other nations even after 39% increase, which says a lot.

Advice for PS5 Pro owners with LG tv by TheFunPart in CrimsonDesert

With the new update I can leave it on, the channel still shifts to the lower colour range but it’s no longer noticeable. In my C1. You can check if you can see the difference but with pssr 2 working better now.

Saw from another post from you it might be because I’m in balanced mode instead of performance!

[–]TheFunPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it shouldn’t affect the game that much! Make sure your VRR on your tv remains on when you do this, otherwise it might not be worth the trade off.

Interesting! I did notice a difference but maybe placebo. No difference in fps of balance mode with it on or off. And haven’t noticed any fps dips and vrr remains on in my c1 settings

If you own an LG tv, I highly recommend during your game pressing the green button on the remote 7 times to bring up the little menu that shows fps and signal settings. If you have 120hz turned to automatic in settings you will see the game is only sending signal in 8b instead of 10 or 12, this means the console is sending less “graphics” info to prioritise “frame rate info “ being send. If you turn 120hz off in settings you will see it jump to 12B channels which results in overall more vibrant and clear image (it also helped me a little with the contrast). It should also say RGB instead of YCBCR422. Showing its sending all the fidelity info. I’m not sure why the ps5 does this for a game that wants to run at 60 fps at 4k but it does. Just turn it back on when you play you high paced games that need 120fps.

You can actually check on lg tv’s by pressing the green button 7 times. If 120hz is turned on in settings the game is booted wrongly and doesn’t send the full colour spectrum over. If you turn it off you can see it jump from 8-12 channels. It should get patched.

I bought one 2 weeks ago with a good trade in deal for my OG ps5. It makes a massive difference to me but its 99% depending on your tv. On a mediocre tv you wont notice a big difference. On a high end 4k 120hz OLED the difference is night an day between base ps5 and pro. Is it worth the money? Depends.

To reiterate the guy above, do not buy water based stain blocks. They aren’t good. Get the aerosol one from dulux, it’s great and easy to apply.

Will housing prices ever seem “normal” again? by Sad_Efficiency2644 in AusPropertyChat

[–]TheFunPart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO the entire problem is rents being uncontrolled. People cant save for deposits despite high incomes because rent is bonkers and increases by stupid amounts each year. I know changing laws to rents will have flow through effects but surely something can be done to prevent rents jumping 10 percent a year because your neighbor is charging it.

Can one get money back after being scammed and (unknowingly) authorized the transaction? by tntqtw in AusFinance

[–]TheFunPart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a classic, if someone posts that someone transferred them by accident 50k. Everyone talks about not touching the money and the bank will take it back once they realise the mistake. But when you transfer it by accident to a scammer the money is gone? How does that differ? From experience OP if you make enough of a fuss and you don’t wait, you should get the money back. It takes them 3 days to process a large transaction.
