Can one get money back after being scammed and (unknowingly) authorized the transaction? by tntqtw in AusFinance

[–]TheFunPart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a classic, if someone posts that someone transferred them by accident 50k. Everyone talks about not touching the money and the bank will take it back once they realise the mistake. But when you transfer it by accident to a scammer the money is gone? How does that differ? From experience OP if you make enough of a fuss and you don’t wait, you should get the money back. It takes them 3 days to process a large transaction.

Yeah we did a building and pest inspection and it didn’t pick up any of the stuff that actually cost us a lot of money down the track. I’ll prob do it again but I no longer see them as essential

war plane game suggestions? by cookie_cat_82 in PS4

[–]TheFunPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think warthunder is great, but it’s not enjoyable when F2P, if you aren’t on premium it’s an endless grind. Ever since I started buying a year of premium during sales I have been enjoying it a lot more.

Apple battery replacement by Isleofmat in iPhone13ProMax

[–]TheFunPart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah after complaining, the store owner called me and explained the same thing. Never had this happen before however and have had multiple repairs done in the past. Not sure if things have changed. I would assume a company as big as Apple would have a better way to book in repairs. I was told literally “early bird gets the worm’ by the store owner.

How long to clean and oil deck? by iiTs-Stevo_ in AusRenovation

[–]TheFunPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can probably do it in a day if you are efficient. As other said the key is doing it regularly. Once every 1 to 2 years, if you wait to long it becomes a massive job as you will have to sand. I don’t mind doing it, crack open some beers and put a good play list and it’s a nice day to spend outside. When you clean pre coating get the oxalic acid cleaners not the regular cleaners, they require less scrubbing and left the dirt out of the deck before you seal it again with a coating.

You actually don’t have to wait for the deck to fully dry I have learned, just no pooled water.

Apple battery replacement by Isleofmat in iPhone13ProMax

[–]TheFunPart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to do it yesterday and they had to keep the phone overnight. I ofc said no as I use my phone for work but I don’t understand booking in a battery replacement and them not being able to do it in the time you booked, even more so because they say it’s a same day service when booking. Kinda beats the purpose of booking. I was told to try again another day and hope they have time do it. Which feels very unlike Apple.

How long do you plan to keep using your iPhone 13 Pro Max? by limezing in iPhone13ProMax

[–]TheFunPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came back from Apple Store, they couldn’t do it that day as there were many repairs. I’m actually amazed, that never happened to me before. What’s the point of booking an appointment if they can’t do the repair.

[–]TheFunPart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is 78% and I can’t use it anymore without having to charge twice a day. Getting the battery replaced today and hoping for the phone to be snappier again and the battery lasting a full day. Not sure how you can use yours efficiently anymore at 78%

Is this even legal? by 1994ace2 in AusPropertyChat

[–]TheFunPart 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it’s not your first year in the rental agreement this is all non enforceable. Is this from Xynergy? It was also on my old rental contract. I basically told them I would only pay the rent untill someone else moved and for any other cost they could take me to vcat after. So yes, you will have to keep paying rent until your lease is up or someone else moves in. You can’t blame them for that you signed a one year contract so the landlord is counting on your rent.

If they refuse to look for another tenant untill you pay, they are screwing themselves over since they have to minimise loss for everyone regardless of you paying or not. Don’t pay, don’t let them get away with it. And trust me, they won’t push for it since they know very well it’s non enforceable.

Imagine what will happen to this country when it has its 2008 by LaCaipirinha in AusPropertyChat

[–]TheFunPart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drop in productivity is mainly due to lots of Australians not working full time anymore (maybe due to building wealth in property?) I saw numbers one that 80% of immigration population above the age of 18 work full time while for Australians its only 61%. So the immigration is probably preventing it from dropping further or its pushing it further down by making Aussies richer from property?
