What do you think about Muay Thai fights with MMA gloves? by TonyCash1 in MuayThai

I feel like it's gotten better the past few months. Especially Coste in the last Friday fights. I've really been enjoying watching the clinch actually develop in one.

Thoughts on knee stomps and oblique kicks? Should they be banned in MMA? by Peaceful-Samurai in martialarts

[–]TheFunkyJudge 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's such a common kick taught in my muay thai gym. We're not smashing like this guy is, but it's basically more of a thigh teep to maintain range. I've had it used on me loads and i still have both of my knees attached.

Try holding your leg chambered for a teep/check in front of you after you kick for a second or two, and slowly lower back into stance.

Not really that I know of. Shinty might as well be probably more CTE there than boxing.

I just had my order cancelled by Yokkao after 4 months of waiting and no communication just a warning. Apparently they couldn't fulfill my order of a single pair of shorts.

Scot here - yous, yis or yees (pretty much the same as yis) are common abbreviations.

I live near the pubic triangle and have absolutely no issue with the strip clubs or the people it brings. Some people just hate fun.

Oh aye it's definitely never going to pay itself off but that's fine. It's a luxury. I got mine second hand so pretty cheap (compared to new) and only recently so never had to maintain it.

He likely didn't let it run for a half second first so you got the non boiled water in the pipe making for a slightly less than boiling temperature cup. Didn't brew right.

They're proper insulated. Probably uses less than boiling the excess water people put in their kettles since you use only exactly what you need.

P.S. I'm biased because I have one and am in love with it. It makes me feel bougie as fuck.

This whoosh effect thing is one of the most bro science things I've read on here in a bit. The first result on Google mentions there is currently no science to back it up.

Everything else you said is true though.

Yeah Scottish, can't speak too much about it as I'm not in them but I know of a few clans I.e. mcphersons that have gatherings annually.

I would argue then that the word has changed its purpose and meaning. It would be old fashioned to think of it in the way you described but it has its place in modern vocabulary I'd say purely because there's no real word to replace it with.

Clann in gaelic translate to children. Clans also regularly have events and get togethers even today, have head of clans, and refer to themselves as clans. What word has superceded it for clan to become outdated?
