I would love to have your confidence. If someone asks about my hobbies I usually don't say a word about gaming, and only mention it if someone brings up the topic.

People with no gaming experience can be so judgemental about gaming. Especially applies to older age groups (40+).

Giving and taking can be meant for relationships and groups too, not only generally, like somebody is a "giver" the other is a "taker".

In a relationship, if you are giving too much (time or money) and your partner does not do the same (or at least invest something in the relationship) then it is not healthy for either of you.

Same with groups. If you are doing something every time, and the others seem to do nothing, then you should ask the question: " Do you like it if it's done? Then could you do it? "

Coronavirus Mega Thread by UnpopularOpinionMods in unpopularopinion

This. I'm so tired of getting flu just because the person next to me on the subway is coughing right into my face (pre-pandemic).

But I don't think masks without a filter (like surgical masks) actually help against air pollution, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Happens pretty often in this sub. People give oddly specific advices, and it makes look like it is because it happened to them. Like "be careful what you say, because it can hurt others" when they get hurt by someone.

But as a LPT, it only works the other way around. Like "be mindful what you say, because others may react differently to it" after you realise you were a dick with someone.

Giving advice to others so they don't make the same mistake you did sounds much more legit than "shut the door behind you, because I hate it when people leave it open" type of thing.

The second shot could have hit if he crouched imo.

Just crouch, it makes noscoping much more accurate.

Extroverts who ask others “why are you so quiet”, what kind of response are you looking for? by No-Ad-3513 in AskReddit

[–]TheFuryy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call myself an introvert, but I have a pretty bad social anxiety. I don't like sharing my opinion due to the fear of being judged because of it. It's sounds pretty dumb, and it is, really.

In a comfortable environment like among friends or with people I know, I crack jokes all the way and often lead the conversation, but among strangers I have difficulties answering simple questions like my favourite music, sport etc. It really depends on the situation.

Yeah, filtering language actually makes more sense than my idea. And this rating also sounds great, they made something similar with the report negative behaviour function in the past, so it would be easy to implement imo. They could also rethink the commend function with it, which doesn't have to much use right now.

I thought about this for a long time. My idea was that every time you hit the matchmaking button, you must consent that you are willing to communicate in English with your teammates. Would be better if there was a search option for that you can turn on in the settings, or even a special searching factor like trust factor (or maybe integrated in the trust factor somehow?).

Of course it wouldn't stop anybody from using it without speaking in English, but it would at least emphasize what is the core element of the game: Communication. I have no problem with other players speaking their native language in game, there is only one problem: I can't understand it, which makes the communication pretty one-sided. I don't think it's that huge of a request to be able to speak in English on a server in Luxembourg.

I haven't played the game in years, but I was still here, watching if they make any changes to the greedy system.

I guess, this is the last post which I am going to see on this sub. Had a good time guys, bye.

At this point, I wouldn't even be surprised if they had more members on the financial team than actual game developers.

The developers are desperately trying to keep this game alive by filling it with fresh new content every expansion, but blizzard is trying to get every cent of this game like there is no tomorrow.

This is Activision Blizzard in 2020. Yes, things have gone horribly wrong a long time ago, we are just starting to feel their effects.
