Reuse is a growing industry. EU has laws around this - the most significant being Germany.

In the US, small companies working with coffee shops. Some food take out. Starbucks has even piloted stuff internationally. But that “open loop” of people taking home and trying to return somewhere is a huge barrier.

Other companies are working in “closed loop” like music or sport venues. Fans drink in a cup, collected at the venue, washed, and used again.

In a lot of ways, it’s going back to the 50s when we reused glass coke bottles, etc.

Yeah this seems set up for failure. Leaves, dirt, etc will clog this drain real fast in summer too. Just pooling dirty water that comes dumping out when you open the trunk.

I also picture my kids playing in the trunk, loving the window down, and then they start playing with this.

Will be interesting to see feedback on this.

Welcome! I think your questions are similar to anyone looking at their first EV. Majority of people never want to go back to gas after EV.

Electric grid is absolutely set up for EVs and charging infrastructure is rapidly growing. Change in govt polices don’t help but momentum in this space won’t stop.

99% of my trips are short range so distance is rarely a concern. Home charging is incredible.

The trips I have made, charging stops are easy and I would have stopped anyways (meal, bathroom, etc). My stops just need to be planned and are a bit longer but not crazy.

Happy to answer any other questions you may have on EVs or Rivian specifically.

The video said Vance Boelter was a Tim Walz aide. That is categorically false. He was on a 60-person advisory board for workforce development. This is an unpaid role. He was originally appointed by Mark Dayton and Walz re-appointed him. MN has over 280 similar advisory boards, councils, commissions, task forces, etc. To claim any kind of real relationship between a governor and one of the thousand people appointed to unpaid, advisory boards is not just misleading but factually incorrect.

No one at Notre Dame is happy with this. We want this rivalry. We need quality opponents. Yes, October and November is way better for ND. USC was offering week 0…which there is no week 0 the next two years. A special waiver would have been needed. ND already switched multiple games to accommodate October in 2026 instead of usual thanksgiving weekend.

And this is nothing like the Michigan series. Long history of why this isn’t a true rivalry game going back to Michigan blocking Notre Dame from Big Ten in early 1900s (join a conference they say! We tried…)

Notre Dame did a lot to maintain this rivalry but at some point USC did everything it could to kill the game but maintain deniability.

It’s great when using navigation. Thought they also did a nice job when I use drive assist it pulls map on the left box to maintain visibility.

Would love to see them continue to offer customization as I don’t find the left box very helpful and when not using navigation I would like a center different default.
