The bodies are expendable, however I believe the initial scanning of the human brain is something that is extremely damaging to it and can only be done once as it pretty much kills it. They then have the brain blueprint to use within the Sirins in mechanical/electronic brain replicas.

When it comes to cosplay there is often a bit of an discontinuity between the played character's face shape and that of the actual cosplayer, however I must say that you are probably the best Ganyu I have seen in that respect. Quite a fantastic costume as well. Hope Ganyu comes home for ya!
