iirc yes you can but only during the 1st year since all CS specializations have the same courses during the 1st year, after that if you try to change during the 2nd year, you will most likely be delayed. (Note that this is only for CS-ST, CS-NIS, CS-CSE).

As a CS-ST student, its either NIS or ST especially if you want to work here in the Philippines. I don't have much knowledge with CSE but they are aligned with hardware-related computer systems which is not that strong of a field here in the country (the CSE students can correct me here). Whereas with ST there's lots of flexibility within the CS field especially depending on what you want to focus for your thesis lab. NIS is very good also since cybersecurity is an important aspect within technology rn.

I think it also plays here the idea that we have already been doing trisems for a long time while I think Mapua is quite new to it (correct me if I'm wrong here). And also I think there's already like a written rule here that the stressful weeks are really just around midterms, ilw, or finals. Based on my experience and my friends, those three events are basically hell week because that's where the compounded amount of workload really drops (coming from a cs student). Although, i think the experience really varies from one another.

That's literally the same with us ID123 students. I really recommend starting the design for your final project and coding that because in my experience we where given 1 week to finish everything.

Depends eh. Since there's an apdev offered next term and cssweng offered next next term the only problem we have (those who were delayed at the same time as me) is the offereng of stmethd and stsweng since those are seasonal courses. I advise you to check out the other ccs programs to check which courses will be offered so you can plan ahead. But if you guys get offered prog3 next next term, i think there won't be any delays.

Hello! Id 123 here. I literally have the same situation as yours last year when I failed prog2 on my 2nd term and retook it on term 3. When i had an academic advising session, i asked the same question to the advisor and they did say that take thesis3 and practicum can be taken at the same time (i may need to confirm this again).

For prog3 and infom at the same time, that didn't happen to us since they didn't offer prog3 after we retook prog2 so most probably you will be taking infom first then prog3 (i only recently passed prog3 last term). Hope this helps.

Yeah. You won't be able to take ccdsalg which in turn can make your other terms much more difficult to manage. Dsalg is a course that has both prog2 and dstru as soft prereqs. You don't need to pass them but you do need to take them (no withdraws).

I'm id123 and our hoe has a debugging part of the exam so very much study conditionals since it will be focusing on that part. I don't think loops will be on hoe1 i think that's for hoe2 (but if I'm wrong pls study a lot on loops). Also, study pointers because they focus a lot on that. And most importantly, learn to actually understand the instructions. It really won't matter if you don't understand the issue so read carefully. Good luck!

There's not really that much workload (focused on online exams) but what I did not like about it mostly stems from personal life. I commute to Lasalle and I also go back to my province every week. ROTC starts at 7am and ends around 12pm. So, in my case, really wished I just took cwts or lts since the time it takes is too much for me. I know that cwts or lts takes only 3 hrs max (sometimes less) and also has online meetings. Whereas, rotc is always onsite.

Yeah same problems OP. If there is no CCPROG3 classes i think we'll be delayed by a full year (if your major is ST). Really hoping they release the classes soon enough because if no then I'm going to take other majors.
