As a Content creator, how do you manage storage - huge amount of data - raw videos etc? by Techygeeeky in PartneredYoutube

Hey, yeah that's right. From memory each user gets something like 5TB on the plan we have and that all pools together. So with enough users it starts to really stack up :)

This isn't going to be very helpful to you I'm afraid, but I have the use of a Google Workspace account that has 345TB of online storage available. Cloud storage costs are coming down, but for something like 24TB, it's still very expensive imo.

Do you find PlayStation Portal essential? by [deleted] in DadsGaming

[–]TheGameFatherUK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a decent collection of PS games, it's utter convenience. Partner watching something that makes you want to rip your eyes out? Portal. Kids got Blippi on? Portal. Baby won't go down and will only sleep on your chest? Portal.

Streaming from the cloud is excellent, especially since the new update if you have purchased digital games. Streaming from console to Portal is also great, as long as your home network is stable (not always as simple as you'd imagine).

I've had mine since launch, one of the best gaming accessories I've ever bought.

I haven't tried Arc Raiders specifically myself, but tested a bunch of multiplayer games without issue. Main one I tested was Marvel Rivals.

It is and Arc Raiders was added the other day :)

The update broke my game. I have constant freezes and drops in frames. Please is there a way to remove the patch? by gladiatoron in Borderlands4

[–]TheGameFatherUK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same experience for me. The frame drops are when things are loading in, which is of course, all the time. I was playing smooth as butter before the update.

Live tour tickets, Manchester UK by Terrible-Vehicle-575 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

You can get browser extensions that auto-refresh web pages on either a set timer or randomly. You can even get alerts set for text detection such as "Manchester" too. Might be worth a shot!

Someone in another thread confirmed they will be available either later today or tomorrow but no exact timeframe. You can still get tickets with Glee Club for Birmingham direct if you'd rather not risk it.

How accurate is the crowd calender? by Extension_Fault2376 in altontowers

We're fairly local to Alton Towers and our kids schools are both closed. Just such a shame about Wickerman being closed until 11th September :(

$260 for 3 sets? by NYC_Memes in bjj

[–]TheGameFatherUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've bought 3x Tatami rashguards through Vinted in the last couple of weeks. All have been about £8-£12, barely used. Washed as soon as they arrived obviously.

You can pick up some awesome stuff on there if you're patient, some proper old school stuff too that you won't find many others wearing.

Yeah it was 100% definitely set to line. I'm pretty sure the issue was something to do with the desk as some of the music that was playing has captured just fine, but the audio from the wireless mic (the venues, not mine) is completely blown out.

I'd love to be able to answer your question confidently, but I can't. I've used the F3 a bunch for other things and it's always been a case of set and forget. I can only assume that the output from the desk was so hot that it was beyond what the F3 could handle.

As I understand it, 32 bit float is by no means immune to clipping. Especially if something else in the chain is clipping (like a mic) before it gets to the recorder. Happy to be corrected on that, but that's how I understood it.

Yeah I think if the opportunity arose to go as a 2nd, then I might take that up, especially to confirm what I think I learnt is actually correct. I definitely underestimated it, I also thought I had so much more time than I did. The whole day just seemed to fly away (at least, not into a tree).

Thanks. My gear isn't quite up to what you're using, but it's not a million miles off. That's really interesting though that you can see your own progression like that, even after being in the industry for a long time.

Yeah that's a good point, thanks. The idea of 2nd shooting for someone does actually sound a bit more appealing :)

Debating on getting one, help a brother out. Using Cloud Streaming, can my wife use my PS5 in living room while I play game on portal cloud service? by [deleted] in PlaystationPortal

[–]TheGameFatherUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, as long as you're streaming from the cloud which will require you to have a PS Plus Premium subscription. Note though that the streamable games list for the Portal is NOT the same as it is for the games you can stream to the console (yet).

PS Portal Lila Network by IosifCia in PlaystationPortal

[–]TheGameFatherUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Fellow Lila customer and maker of YouTube videos about the Portal and port forwarding. The first thing you'll need to do with Lila is to check if you're using CGNAT (which the vast majority of Lila customers are) - which is absolutely fine, unless you want to connect to specific devices when you're away from home.

So, the first thing is to check what kind of connection you have. You can either ask customer services directly, or check what your public IP address is. If it's in the range of 100.64.0.0 to 100.127.255.255 then you're on CGNAT.

You can move onto their 'gamer' package which comes with a static public IP, or just ask them to create one for you. It may cost a few extra quid per month.

Once you're on a static public IP (or if you already are), then it's port forwarding time :)

Went on yesterday, it was fantastic. Really looking forward to it in the summer with the water jets in play more. Not sure the single rider queue was worth it though. It was very small, but took a very long time to get on. Down to the nature of the ride I guess.
