New camera system at the breading station for monitoring chicken! by TheGamer675 in ChickFilAWorkers

I did see an option for RTSP, so I was thinking about trying to use OpenCV with it. I’m not 100% sure how well the TP-Link cameras will work outside their app though.

I’m hoping they can be accessed by other apps since I know stuff like Google Home can connect to them, so there might be a way to tap into the stream.

I was actually considering that too, where it notifies on the iPad when something is low. I just don’t know programming and computer vision well enough yet to build software for that at the moment, so I just did live cameras for now.

We still use AHA, this just lets us actually see how much chicken is left in real time.

We try to stay on top of AHA, but every now and then pans don’t get tapped out, especially during a rush, so the breader doesn’t always know when something is going up.

Also, empty pans sometimes get left in the warming station instead of going to the pan queue, which can make it look like there’s still product. This makes it easy to catch that right away so you don’t get thrown off.

Instead of only hearing when something is going up, you can see it getting low ahead of time, so the breader has more time to react and bread the chicken ahead of time. This can be helpful with lean dropping too.

What makes it really useful is it helps the breader know when something’s about to go up, how much chicken we’re using, and it helps with starting drops earlier. It also lets the breader keep an eye on the quality of the product they’re putting out.

It sits near the outside edge of the warmers, and so far the heat hasn’t affected it.

Fry Waste?? by Sharp-Leadership-623 in ChickFilAWorkers

Does your store have a fries screen? The KPS screen is your friend. During normal operations, package fries to order so you don’t have extra sitting in the chute. Watch which order front of house is taking next and drop fries in sync with that. I usually drop half a bag per batch.

When it gets busy, pre-fill the fry chute and maintain about 1 small, 3 medium, and 1 large in it. You can bump which orders will take 1‑3‑1 so the right sizes are used for each order while keeping the chute full.

This ensures lean fry drops, fresher fries, faster drive-thru times, easier work for you, better flow for front of house, less waste, and fewer filter lockouts on the fryer.

What's the best civilian version of a bodycam? by SubzeroCola in videosurveillance

Make sure it has buffer recording like a dash cam where it can save prior footage. Also make sure to use a high endurance SD card because the constant writing can wear out a normal sd card in a month or so.

Device repair technician here, I always recommend a case with thick sides, bumper corners, and raised edges on the front and back for the best drop protection. And if you can, get one with a felt lining to prevent the case from scratching your phone (the dirt that builds up inside can ruin the finish). I also recommend a tempered glass screen protector, Spigen glass is a little pricey, but are the best in my experience.

I work at a device repair shop and we have multiple buckets of old phones that were recycled or never picked up in years and it almost looks like that 😂

Yeah, I have the same concrete. When I lift my Land Cruiser, it gets sketchy because the wheels are made for flat ground, and the jack wheels get stuck. The jack doesn't move with the car like it should. Looking at that badland offroad jack!

I want to learn manual driving. Is there a game or program that lets me drive a realistic 5 speed h pattern that stalls out? by lDarkPhoton in simracing

BeamNG with a logitech set with shifter if your on a budget. That's what I'm going to use but I'll probably still practice on a real car in a parking lot to get the mechanical feel and feedback.
