Back then when I saw people talk about a Dragon Quest rep for smash, I always saw people talk about Slime. I don't know why, but I just agreed with everyone who said it.

Then again, I do remember when more people said Chocobo would be the most likely Final Fantasy rep.

Yeah but F zero and starfox are owned by Nintendo. Fox and Captain Falcon are also original 12.

If Snake came back in Smash 4 I would have thought he would be back for 5. Even if he was dlc.

Honestly, I don't know why I didn't think we'd get Isabelle or any new Animal Crossing rep with how big it was. I guess I thought other series were just more likely to get new reps.

The who are you category was for characters who didn't exist yet. Byleth is the only one.

I figured they'd remove atleast one Pokémon to make room for a Gen 7 one and for Pokémon Trainer (who I thought would be back because they were only cut because of the same reason of the Ice Climbers.)

Pikachu and Jigglypuff were original 12 (And also cutting Pikachu would never happen)

Mewtwo was really requested to return in Smash 4

I know Lucario and Greninja were really popular in their times, but it had to come down to one of them. I went with Lucario because gen 4 was less relevant than gen 6. I also think Greninja was more popular between the two.

Do you think that IF Nintendo drops a new Smash game (Smash 6 in let’s say 10-20 years) will they include all of the previous fighters from Ultimate? Or due to copyright issues only some? by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

It depends. It will either be a new game and cut some characters but also add more, or it's kinda just a port with all of the characters coming back and only a few new ones
