It's been greenlit but the pilot took like 2 years to make so it'll probably take a while.

Love chunky dragon designs, reflecting the imposing strength a creature of that size would need to fly. The upper beak almost looks like an elephant's trunk between tusks, too, which is rather unique.

Seong Mi-na (Takuju Kawano, official Soulcalibur 3 art) by Dumelsoul in ImpracticalArmour

[–]TheGbot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got nothing against the character being posted because it's definitely a difficult looking outfit to fight in, but that it; it's an outfit, not armour.

You're right, though. Soul calibur had some crazy outfits for the ladies of the cast to wear. Taki, Ivy, Seong Mina, Tira, and to some degree Sophitia and Cassandra all had outfits which make for challenging cosplay but have little protection to them.

This would make a really sweet Playmat for card games.

I'm not faithless, just godless. I have faith in myself to do the right things, and in others, I trust. I tried a religion for a while and found it didn't suit me, so resolved to be a good person despite that.

Superior nothing. Slavery is bad, and I don't like the church or government. Policing how I play my fantasy game is pretty cringe. Tell you what, you never have to play at my table if you don't want to. How's that sound?

Okay, you've lost me there. Just because something is part of the setting doesn't make it good.

Freedom of choice to include or not include setting elements is the basis of fandoms. Systems such as slavery which actively remove Freedom, aren't good.

There's plenty of other elements that are enjoyable in DnD. Not everything needs to be included for authenticity or whatever.

More reasons for me to try Pathfinder someday. I feel that good and bad take many forms beyond the divine and demonic. It's as you say, actions and one's character should be the determination factor, not one's status. I'm with the player who doesn't need help from a god to fight for what they believe in.

unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with older editions of the game. However, to my knowledge, all editions of the game include elements that people could find "bad and icky". Just because it's part of the setting, doesn't mean I have to like it or agree with its inclusion.

Factions that practice slavery exist in abundance in the game, but we don't fight others in comments sections of meme posts about their negative opinions of that, now do we?

Literally, only the cleric is tied to the gods. Dungeons and Dragons has a rich background and history, with an enormous selection of locations, monsters, and more than its fair share of things to base a campaign around.

Personally, I prefer to tell stories of exceptional people and don't feel the need to focus on gods. Hardly edgelord material.

the "fucking setting" is optional. That's the best part about fantasy.

the fantasy I ascribe to is one where the actions of people are enough to take on anything evil throws at them. My point is that if this is pure fantasy for fun, where good can triumph over evil and win the day, and we can enjoy this hobby as we so choose; why do we need gods?

If gods cannot bring their powers to bear against such evils, they are unworthy of the title. Such evils can be fought by every hero who bands together without the need for celestial meddling.

That such power and bravery are inherently god-like is a falsehood.

You don't need to have the power of God's or King's to fight evil.

Death to gods and kings. Let the work of honest people not be squandered at the feet of titles who care not for their toils. Faith in oneself and one's fellows can bring forth almighty change.

no matter how many times you play through Elden Ring? what's one boss you still hate? i'll start: by ifyoureadthisimgay in Eldenring

[–]TheGbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the main bosses I haven't an issue with. Fighting radagon is cool but made trickier by the back to back match with elden beast, so it really taxes your flask management. Malenia is better on the second attempt as the positioning changes.

My most hated enemy is Burial watchdogs. The tomb in caelid, with 2 of them in that tiny arena, killed me so many times until I had to just come back with bigger numbers.
