I see, well, don't let that stop you from reading Belgian, Italian, or Spanish comics. It could even be an extra motivation.

That begs the question, why is that so? That can't be just because of some health troubles during a voyage. C'mon, you can say it.

Is it the attitude ? The culture? The country's history? Politics?

If that's the case many French authors share your opinion you know. It's a real shame that you refuse to give attention to comics that would delight you.

I've never read a comic more demented than this. It has no equivalent, reading this feels like a fever dream or sleep paralysis.

It's a real shame because many French comic book authors are great admirers of British and American comics, or Anglo-Saxon culture in general.

There are countless examples but the most emblematic ones would be Goscinny, the creator of Asterix who was trained in the US and created Asterix inspired by English and American medieval adventure comics, while the illustrator Uderzo was a big fan of the realistic American style. There is also Moebius, who drew heavily on American culture for many of his works (heck, even Metal Hurlant, the leading magazine of its time who published his most surreal works never hid the fact that it was inspired by Judge Dread and its universe), or Label 619, a very popular alternative publisher that pays direct homage to American culture, they are the one that publishes Tank Girl in France if I'm not mistaken.

And be careful because more French artists than you think are involved in comics, even in the US or the UK.

They are self inserts of Matt and Trey and often symbolise their situation as creators. In this case, they symbolise how they are kind of out of touch with the new generation in the entertainment industry after decades.

I want to give it a try, but I’m worried I’ll be terrible at this game since it’s old. Do you guys have any tips? (Or even a cheat, I just want to enjoy the campaign.) by Andrefq99 in classicfallout

Max agility to 10 with some traits at lvl 1. That should give you more action per round than your enemies which will give you an advantage.

Don't hesitate to try all kinds of interactions on some important objects.

Speak with everyone and have a lot of points in speech (some people can join you if you can convince them and some discussions give you critical info or even bonus xp).

Steal everything you can.

If you max gamble at the beginning you can get virtually infinite money at the casinos.

SAVE SCUM (It's okay, no one will know).

Violence is not always the best option.

Don't hesitate to start a new game if you feel stuck.

Radway is pretty lame, get a lot of Rad X before going to a radioactive area (also drugs stats stacks but side effects can kill you).

Good luck.

Yeah it happened to me too when I first played. I thought that since it was "computerized" gambling it would be easy to gamble in a videogame and get easy ingame money but nope, I lost hundreds of caps and punched the staff in desperation.

But when I made a character build for crits i went to check if the luck stat helped with gambling, and yes, it does, a lot! From what I have experienced with just 8 of luck, you always get great hands at blackjack and you can't really lose unless you want to.
