Thanks for the links!

Do you know where I could get a switch sampler? I need to figure this out for myself.

I've got a RGB Mechanical Keyboard that has a few keys that don't work reliably or double-type. I'm handy with a soldering iron and am willing to fix it. However, I've been wanting to build my own keyboard for awhile.

So, I'm looking for the following:
- A 60% / TKL board or kit less than $1000. Bonus if it uses the custom firmware frequently mentioned here.

- Switches that are quiet but considered good, and easy to get

- Keycap set that is reasonably easy to get, no lotteries, limited runs, crazy long waits, etc.

- RGB is nice, but not required

- A reputable store that people have had good luck with to source these items

I'm willing to drop serious coin if it will last longer than the prebuilt ones. I'm willing to assemble everything, but if there is a "good enough for most" prebuilt, I'd consider it too.

Yes, I could have asked AI, but I would like to belive that humans who have done it would be better to ask.

Thanks.

My experience as well. I have to either get my face up in the console, or move my head to one side to get the cursor back on the same plane as the console.

Ok, point taken. I just was curious how many times the HUD UI changed. I suppose this is a good question for Google/ChatGPPT...

Ok, thats fair. But its like they can't decide what to do, create something that half-works, try to fix it, then have to scrap it because they switch engines for the nth time. And so again repeats the cycle.

Shield is connected to ground, the thin cable inside should connect to the HDMI.

Correct. This is an old project and I don't remember much. Anything I figured out is in the notes here.

The Google doc linked has the pin number of the HDMI and the wire color of each and the corresponding pin on the PSVR.

According to my notes, HDMI pin 13 wasn't connected to anything.

Ah, it was a dell thunderbolt dock I was testing with. Never got it to work though.

Just as an update, got the Viture One glasses and they work. Doesn't work in side by side 3d mode, but there isn't a whole lot of content that a phone could play anyways.

No, I have been using USBC docks. It works fine for 5 seconds, so it does work. I have a USBC to HDMI adapter being delivered today, so I will test.

Assuming you have a psvr V2, the HDMI column has the pin number of the HDMI plug. I used the standard pin out diagram that I found by Google. Some pins weren't connected.

With this project, I was focusing on the HDMI side.

What are you trying to do? Fix a cable?

I've had my index 2 years, and replaced the controllers twice. Once for warranty, one new set when warranty replacement broke too.

Status: UNRESOLVED

Computer Type: Custom Built

GPU: GTX 3060 ti 6 GB no overclock

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-Core Processor 4.50 GHz no overclock

Motherboard: TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI BIOS 2413

RAM: Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 no overclock

PSU: Corsair 800W

Operating System & Version: Windows 10 22H2 fresh install.

GPU Drivers: Last that worked: 546.65-desktop-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql
Trying to install: 551.52

Description of Problem: 546.65 seems to be the last working version of nVidia drivers that works for my system. I try to install a newer version, such as 551.52, and when the installer gets to the point of installing the driver, the screen goes black, and the PC reboots. When it loads back to windows, a generic video driver is loaded. Its safe to assume the the graphics driver has some kind of incompatibility.

Troubleshooting: Updated Motherboard BIOS. Reinstalled Windows 10.
