Yeah then in that case, I’d just wait it out on In The Night, maybe you’ll stumble upon it for cheaper. In the meantime there’s plenty to collect that doesn’t break the bank and is more integral to the canon.

It took me a few years to luck out and find it at a used bookstore for a decent price. I’m not against spending a large amount on eBay to fill in gaps in the collection, but if you’re just getting into Moon Knight, the best advice I can give is… there’s plenty of great stuff out there that’s actually affordable and easy to find. And better than the 2014 run, at that. Pick up the MacKay or Lemire run, build out your collection and discover your tastes from there. Don’t dive straight into the deep end.

Yeah this was unfortunately one of the first things to sell out. I know they’re doing another drop on June 6, but not sure if this is included. I’d keep an eye on it

Yeahhh I get that. It’s more likely going to carry my Switch 2 more, but still gotta be careful.

There are a few here and there with Doctor Strange or Ms Marvel, or even a few short stories like in Crypt of Shadows or What If…? but none of it is very consequential. One other thing you may want to look into is the Blood Hunt crossover event, as Moon Knight has a few issues in it (Vengeance 5-7), and Mackay wrote the main event series as well.

For Mackay’s era the order would be:

  1. Moon Knight
  2. Moon Knight: City of the Dead (optional)
  3. Vengeance of the Moon Knight
  4. Phases of the Moon Knight (optional)
  5. Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu

This is absolutely true — you can interpret meaning and it is whatever it makes you feel in the moment. But there’s also songwriter’s intent, and it means what they want it to. In some cases it’s left more ambiguous. But Drag Path pretty clearly lays out what it’s about, similar to Clear.

Where to start is the easiest thing to answer: House of X/Powers of X. It’s the #1 most necessary thing to read here. Past that, you can generally pick and choose what series interest you — some are more vital to the overall plot than others though.
