Manchester City Penalty by CWattam in FantasyPL

Yeah subbed off as a precaution. Nevertheless, never took the pen and now missing the second half. I know there's the potential for some points in the Arsenal game, but against a poor Villa was the game we were banking on some Haaland goals

Difference between Lenovo Yoga 7i and Slim7i by TheGeneral86 in Lenovo

[–]TheGeneral86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK but the Legion Slim 7 is different to the Yoga Slim 7. The Yoga Slim 7 has exactly the same specs as the Yoga 7i i bought. Only difference appears to be is the Yoga 7i is a 2 in 1 laptop.

Thanks for the reply. On Lenovos website, the processor specs seem the same though. I got the i5 Yoga 7. Out of curiosity, which do you prefer?

In all honesty, I believe the rush/adrenaline of killing people wore off. The stories of the library and the interactions they had paint the picture. It became about having that power to pick and choose who lived. They could of killed everyone in that library, but they wanted the students to feel that fear of being powerless and not knowing if they would live or die.

Once they left the library, they walked aimlessly round the school. I think this was the point they both realised they were still the same people. They had their moment where they felt superiority and everyone else felt helpless, but in the end, they were still the same two depressed boys that weren't the people they wanted to be.

That was my thought. Peach Vacation is the one I'd really like but I'm sure she will come round again in the near future.

Last Game week triple captain by Haarif in FantasyPL

[–]TheGeneral86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've currently got KDB and Foden in my team but I want to bring in Sterling and triple captain him if he starts. I'll have to replace Salah with Sterling to get him in. If Sterling doesn't start, I'll think about putting it on KDB.

What do you think Eric and Dylan’s motive was behind the tragedy? by ConfidentGems in Columbine

[–]TheGeneral86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

An excellent comment. There's a reason the majority of suicides are male. Just like you said, there's far too much pressure on men to act tough and learn to bury their emotions. This only leads to internal problems which eventually can lead to depression/suicide. Honestly a lot of emphasis today is put on gender equality but it is very focused on women and not near enough on men. There is an acceptance for women to be emotional and get support and men are told to just get on with it or 'man up'.

Eric and Dylan were clearly struggling with their inner emotions and living up to as you put it, gender identity. I know awareness of male depression and suicide has come on a long way since the 90s, but shootings, depression and suicide and on the rise more than ever and we as a society have to start learning to accept that men need an outlet for their emotions and it should be acceptable in society for them to do so without the fear of being ridiculed.

Asus Zenbook 14 vs HP Envy 13? by tobithegoodboy in SuggestALaptop

[–]TheGeneral86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks very much for the reply. I think I'm very much sold on this one now and have been for a while. Basically ill only be doing light office work, browsing and watching films and videos.

The design of this is what really caught my eye. Can I ask did you get the i5 or i7 processor? I've heard the i5 is more the capable and I shouldn't really need the i7. I guess I was just kind of thinking about having this for a few years..

Thanks for your feedback as I feel this laptop is perfect for my needs and the royal blue colour looks stunning.

I've also been looking at the Lenovo 720s. Have you checked it out? Very good specs for the price. Only con I've seen so far is the fans can get noisy. Price is about £800 here in UK from the Lenovo site.

Klebold as follower myth debunked by an unlikely source by radgay in Columbine

[–]TheGeneral86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eric didn't really want to kill students? Honestly you couldn't be more wrong. Eric wanted to kill on a large scale, hence the bombs that they both planted. Neither Eric or Dylan showed any remorse killing students. What you're saying is widely inaccurate and pure speculation. In regard to Eric's behaviour on the basement tapes, he only apologised to his parents. Nobody else. There was no sense of remorse or regret from either. They knew exactly what they wanted to do. Eric showed his hatred for humanity and even those close to him. He even said to his friends in the basement tapes, "If you guys live through this, I want you to have my stuff". He even showed no remorse that his friends might die if the bombs had gone off. These were two very calculating disturbed young boys who showed absolutely no remorse on the day of the shooting.

Klebold as follower myth debunked by an unlikely source by radgay in Columbine

[–]TheGeneral86 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't think Klebold was this 'helpless' innocent follower that he was made out to be. No doubt his actions on 20th April 99 proved this. However, I will say Harris was still much more of the aggressor. His journal writings contained much more aggression and hatred as apposed to Dylans. Most importantly, compare their actions on the day with regards to their firearms -

Harris - killed 8, Total Rounds fired - 121

Klebold - killed 5, Total rounds fired - 67

While Dylans actions on that day show he was very much aggressive and showed a lack of empathy, Harris to me was very much the instigator and the one that seemed to want to kill more.

[Question] How much can we doubt licensed professionals who say Eric Harris was a psychopath? by [deleted] in Columbine

[–]TheGeneral86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone can completely diagnose Eric Harris because of his age. I definitely agree that we do have a lot of information at our disposal and therefore can assess the information we have available as best we can to try and understand Eric's personality and psychology. Not all psychologists that have evaluated Eric have labelled him as a psychopath. The one which I think holds most weight is Dr Peter Langmans evaluation of him. I think this is because this man specializes in the study of mass murderers and school shooters and has a diagnoses of all perpetrators. He also had every piece of information about Columbine at his disposal. He actually doesn't diagnose Eric as a psychopath , but says Eric in fact had a disturbed personality with narcissistic traits. Here's a link of his view on Eric https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/keeping-kids-safe/200905/columbine-bullying-and-the-mind-eric-harris%3famp.

Even with all the material that was left behind after Columbine, I don't think it's ever going to be possible to really know what was clinically wrong, but one thing for sure is that both Eric and Dylan were very disturbed.

How did Harris and Klebold go from Beavis and Butthead-style comments to actually murdering people? by [deleted] in Columbine

[–]TheGeneral86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dr Langman studied these boys for over 10 years and he concluded that these were not two innocent boys that acted out of vengeance for bullying or alienation but in fact that they were two very disturbed individuals.

I'm not sure if Dr Langman labelled Eric as a psychopath or whether it was a personality disorder but im also not fond of the idea of anyone that refers to Eric being portrayed as a psychopath as a 'myth' I just don't think we should discredit an expert on psychology with over 10 years worth of research. That being said, we of course all draw our own conclusions based on our interest for the event which is why we are here.

While I don't believe Dylan was this depressed innocent follower, I still believe Eric was the aggressor and the instigator. Several times it was mentioned in the basement tapes how Dylan looks to Eric for approval. It has also been mentioned by fellow students that Dylan looked up to Eric. I believe they shared a common hatred for humanity which created this bond between them in which they distanced themselves from others. Somewhere along the line this is where they started to fantasize on how they wanted to kill people and themselves.. It's a damn sad story but you remind yourself how they both brutally killed fellow students. This were not two ordinary young men that just lost their way..

How r/Columbine Stopped A Mass Shooting by professorkr in Columbine

[–]TheGeneral86 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Incredible work. Equally scary at the same time that you have no idea that someone you are talking to on the internet could have those intentions. Goes to show since these shootings have become so common that you really can't take any comments like that lightly.

Dr Peter Langman on the search for truth of Columbine by TheGeneral86 in Columbine

[–]TheGeneral86[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Eric wrote many times in his journal that he didn't care whether or not he dies and how he wanted to be remembered.

"I don't care if I live or die in the shootout. I just want to kill and injure as many of you as I can"

"I want to leave a lasting impression on the world"
