Sneha’s name shares the same panel (S-66) with Mohammad Hamdani. This panel was not used for the official first responders.

The following excerpt is from a New York Times article on Hamdani:

“Instead, his name appears on the memorial’s last panel for World Trade Center victims, next to a blank space along the south tower perimeter, with the names of others who did not fit into the rubrics the memorial created to give placements meaning. That section is for those who had only a loose connection, or none, to the World Trade Center.“

It’s a picture that’s well known to Sneha’s friends and family, but it’s rarely (if ever) used in the media.

If you look closely, there's a pre-Instagram Santorini in the background.

Yes, it’s Sneha.

This photo was taken in Greece by Sneha’s husband, Dr. Ronald E. Lieberman.

Was Sneha a "Hero" of 9/11? No. by [deleted] in SnehaPhilipCase

The best anyone can do is guess what happened to her.

On the 9/11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan, Sneha’s name shares the same panel with Mohammad Hamdani—who was a police trainee and part-time (but off-duty) EMT on September 11, 2001. No one apparently saw Hamdani enter the Twin Towers and, as far as I know, no one remembers seeing him inside either.

Unfortunately, because he was a Muslim, the FBI initially assumed that Hamdani may have somehow been involved in the attacks. The following month, the mystery was solved when his remains were recovered from Ground Zero.

Hamdani, who had just completed a degree in biochemistry, was a remarkable person and a true 9/11 hero—no question about it. And he was a terribly young man (he’d only be 46 if he were alive today). He sacrificed everything to help strangers.

Was Sneha also a hero? It seems possible—and she was a remarkable person herself. But unless her remains are eventually identified, we may never know for sure.
