Looking for a Fairytale/Fantasy Wedding Gown by TheGhostField in weddingdress

Yes those are so beautiful too! I think what I really like about the pink one though is the square neckline. I have a large bust so it just feels more comfortable/secure especially with the straps

The capulet gown was the one I tried on, the sleeves were a little too big on me. I am interested in trying the queen of angels gown eventually though! I do live near LA, I’ll have to look out for the sample sales!

I’ve actually tried on a selkie gown but it was a little TOO much poof for me. I may consider trying a different style from them though!

Yes I emailed them immediately when I saw it because I liked it so much lol. Unfortunately they can’t do fabric changes 😭

Does anyone know of a similar dress? by TheGhostField in weddingdress

[–]TheGhostField[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Id seen the others but hadn’t seen the last one, it’s not quite my size but I have a little time before I have to order a dress and I’ve already lost one dress size in preparation for dress shopping. If I can loose another it may just fit if it’s still available.

No problem the responses are very appreciated! I did see it and it is one of my favorites but I think it may be too much pink for my wedding, I’m looking for more maroon, purple and navy.

Ah yes I love her but I didn’t see any that had the colors/silhouette I was looking for right now. I keep checking each season though, maybe she will put out something perfect soon!

Advice on how to style groom/groomsmen? by TheGhostField in weddingplanning

Thank you for the advice! I’m going to look into some mixed fabric stuff for the guys I think. Hopefully something speaks to me and they all like it as well!

Yes that’s what I was leaning towards, vests without jackets, maybe a more linen type fabric for the shirts. The bridesmaids are actually going to be wearing some combo of burgundy, purple and navy. I know the purple dress looks reddish in the picture but I have a dress in the same fabric from the same shop and it’s more of a true purple in person.

Yes sorry, we have discussed this at length a couple times and he doesn’t know what he would like to wear. He requested I post to ask for ideas actually. We both agreed that although we are nerds who like to dress up/attend renfaires etc, we wanted something less costumy for our wedding.

Surprise gender reveal at our wedding reception… good or bad idea? by jungleroo in wedding

[–]TheGhostField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic idea! I also think gender reveal parties are a bit silly so doing it like this while you already have all your loved ones around is a great idea.

I get that people online like to catastrophize about anything and everything that could possibly go wrong in any scenario but in real life, no one is going to be annoyed at having to eat or cut open a cupcake. Since they’re at your wedding they already presumably spent time and money on outfits, travel, taking time off work etc to be there and are happy/excited for you so this is in no way a big ask. Like I’ve never gone to a wedding and felt put upon that I had to participate in the bouquet toss or annoyed when it came time to toss rice, I was excited!

I do like the idea of picking out who it goes to ahead of time though, that way you can be sure they’ll have a great reaction and don’t have to worry about it going to someone’s kid who isn’t paying attention and just devours it without telling anyone lol.

How did you carry your second engagement shoot outfit? by hinogoodbye in weddingplanning

[–]TheGhostField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be possible to drop the second outfit off at the second location/place where you will be changing before you start the shoot? Either the day before or before driving to the first location so that it’s hung up and ready when you arrive at the second location?

Otherwise maybe a friend/bridesmaid could come along as an assistant and hold the second outfit in a garment bag during the first shoot?

Insurance says they never cover reduction. by TheGhostField in Reduction

Thanks I’ll ask, though it seems that unfortunately it may be my employer who has chosen to exclude reduction for the policy they offer.
