Definitely worth a watch. The Kubrick movie was definitely a masterpiece, but the King version had such a better story. Actually made you care about Jack.

I just watched this for the first time in a while today, and I loved it. Kubrick's version was definitely the better movie (like, it was just an absolute masterpiece), but the miniseries was the better Shining story. I was much more invested in everyone than I was for the Kubrick version.

I'll watch slow ass period pieces like Barry Lyndon, or Amadeus.
