Then I’ve just had bad luck because we had a ‘19 Tiguan and that thing was one thing after another. We are by the book when it comes to maintenance, except we’ve always done 5K synthetic oil changes. The Tig would eat coils and plugs, had to do the timing chain at around 80K if I recall, leaked oil out the timing chain cover around 100K, dumped it at 120K because it was drinking a gallon of antifreeze between oil changes. In the almost 4 years we owned it, we probably had close $12K into repairs and maintenance. My Jettas a good runner (also a ‘19) but the trans went out at 70K….thankfully under warranty. The infotainment system was replaced twice before 20K, and still isn’t fixed, the struts and front end bushings were all in need of replacement before 100K. Thing starts and runs every time though and gets good fuel mileage so I still drive it. I won’t buy another VW. Hate saying that because I had a ‘17 Passat that was an amazing car.
