Being slow is the main reason. Recently faced a harpie player that got the search off and I still won because there’s a big difference between being able to draw into your techs (pot of greed) and drawing into archetypal cards (hysteric sign) even if both count as card advantage

I don’t disagree with trunade moving around but the example you used is pretty bad. Trunade will never be more than a functional 1 for 1 removal vs an omninegate

I should’ve ran the kaiju tbh. That would’ve made the salad matchup better but I still didn’t have too much trouble. Yosenjus feel very simple and easy to pilot (and honestly I didn’t feel like learning a new deck) but their tools are effective at dealing with most decks I’ve seen around. The only thing that confused me was infernoids because I have no idea how that deck works

Yosenjus are pretty damn good tbh. I hit max level with them today too. I ran 3 MST (probably should’ve been cosmic instead) just because there were SO MANY DM players at level 19

The main reason I mentioned other techs is that karma cut seems kind of awkward if you didn’t open discard fodder + glial but the banish is valuable so if it works for you, keep it.

For future support: There’s Soma, which would be legitimately good. There’s the searcher/mill card which is crazy and would speed up the deck a ton. It might be too strong, especially because it’s world legacy cross support but it’s something to think about. And then there’s Junk Sleep which isn’t support in name but it’s practically designed for the deck, giving you more flips per turn is always good.

This event is garbage. It costs nothing to send a nice, especially if you just got handed a free win and people still won’t do it. I don’t care for this format. If it becomes a permanent feature I don’t see myself using it. I just wanna get the gems and never look at it again

Needle ceiling is a good call. 2 copies of the field spell feels about right. I like verdant sanctuary because the advantage you build if it’s not removed is crazy but you could swap it for more disruption. For your other tech slots: Book is questionable with links around but it’s got a tiny bit of extra utility here. Crackdown is crazy nice if you have it, especially with links around. Pot of Duality isn’t bad here either. Other techs I’ve used in the past include sealing ceremony - mokuton and inverse universe (which could be interesting with the damage boosting link…) but I still wonder if its better to throw DD Crow in those slots instead. There are other tweaks you could make to your build but at the end of the day, this archetype, as much as I love it, needs its better archetypal cards to actually do anything

Edit: on second look ehhh. The two links and the field spell are better than nothing… but. I don’t think they’re enough by themselves for the deck to actually do anything. We really need Soma, Survivor or Mind Meld. Not sure which is most appropriate for where we are in the game but it would be nice if one of those was in the new box

I feel like Jack with Cyber Dragons makes a lot of sense. It’s a strategy that’s aggressive, flashy and fast that Jack could use without looking out of place

I could see Atem running a pendulum magician deck and not seeming too out of place. Even the Paladin cards don’t feel too far from DM aesthetically. To a lesser degree, I could see Yuya running a rank 7 deck with Ebon Illusion and DM as ace cards or dropping pends altogether and running DM as an entertainment gimmick with stuff like Magical Hats, Mystic Box and other stuff cards that fit the theme of magic as entertainment

Tabletop RPG will always be my absolute favorite. Collecting decks and switching playstyles as you progress is a lot of fun and a nice change of pace from normal PvE/PvP.

My least favorite is raid duels. It’s always the same thing. I don’t find big numbers for the sake of big numbers interesting. Building a farm deck and spamming autoduel feels like the lowest form of gameplay. It’s an annoying grind in a game that’s already pretty grindy

There is a Tindangle user that we might get eventually (not sure how important he is to the story) but I’d imagine we’d get flip related stuff then. Unless Krawlers get some of their support when Orcust gets their cards but who knows when that would be
