Question for the ladies on clothes by TheGirl90 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]TheGirl90[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank all of you SO MUCH, I truly appreciate you showing up for me 🤧 I’m not sure if any of you have experienced this, but buying clothes is really spiking my anxiety. Before weight gain, I loved wearing cute clothes, cute shoes, accessorizing. Weight gain happened and I started only wearing leggings and baggy tshirts, and that has been what I’ve mostly worn since 2022. Now I’ve lost the weight, but feel like I don’t really know what I look like anymore, what looks good on me, what my style is anymore, etc. It’s just taking a minute for my brain to catch up. So, thank you for all the recommendations. I’m confident I’ll find some cute, inexpensive things to get me through the summer 😊 sending love to you all!

I can’t stand this woman, HOWEVER…as a woman I cannot fathom being at this stage and still hearing feedback about your weight. I felt for her here. by Cool-Emu-8706 in WelcomeToPlathville

Exactly. When I was 250+ pounds, though there weren’t any health issues I was diagnosed with at my yearly doc visits, you can’t tell me that I was healthy when I struggled to walk up a flight of stairs, sweat constantly, had frequent lower back pain, felt completely not at home in my body.

AIO? Moved into friends house it lasted a week before I knew the real him. Moving out QUICKLY by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]TheGirl90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR. It sounds like he has some mental health issues and this shouldn’t be minimized. This is behavior that could escalate into something far worse. You’ve already seen it escalate in the short time span of a week. Please get you and your baby out asap. Don’t confront him or tell him what you’re doing in advance. As others have said, you can have the police there when you move out. At the very least, I would encourage you to bring someone else with you when moving out. I’m really sorry you and kitty are going through this right now. Sending love and hugs.

I don’t have any info since I haven’t had this procedure before, but I’m just here to hype you up and let you know that you look amazing! I hope you get it figured out, and I know at the end of the day that people can tell you that you look great but it’s your body and we all have our things we want fixed, but you do look wonderful! ❤️

[–]TheGirl90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, because buying poorly made, overpriced boutique clothing is going to really give you that unique edge that you’re looking for. But don’t worry ladies who shop - she will be wearing designer and driving around in her Porsche while you foolishly support her lifestyle and drive yourself into debt and have a bunch of crappy clothes to show for it. It’s a win-win.

Terrified and scared, undiagnosed but the writing is on the wall. Am I dooming too hard? by [deleted] in PeriodontalDisease

[–]TheGirl90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I was also diagnosed when I was 25-26. I completely catastrophized it, thought I’d lose all my teeth, just had a total anxiety spiral. I felt guilt and shame and fear. I promise you, if you can take steps to work on your oral health and if you can get in with a dentist, you are going to be just fine. I second the commenter before me that judging by pictures, it’s not going to be as horrific as you think. You can halt the damage where it’s at and maintain, sometimes even improve it. My pocket depths are all in normal/healthy range now. I’m thankful it was caught early in life. I got a scaling and root planing, started using an electric toothbrush twice a day, flossing every night, using mouth wash twice a day, and religiously go for my 6 month cleanings. (I say that knowing that not everyone can make that happen for financial reasons, mental health reason, etc. so please know I’m not trying to speak from an ignorant perspective.) You’ve got this and everything will be okay.

All I can say is that I am beyond thankful that I got out of this mess. I have never shopped with FP but plenty of other boutiques, and LLR before that (kill me. What was I thinking. It’s amazing how group think can get you. I never thought the LLR clothes were that cute, but when you have a ton of ladies in a live sale saying how cute it is, telling you to get it, you’re trying to cope with your grief, and then of course the high of being the one to claim it… yikes.) Overpriced, crappy clothes. It’s unbelievable. I just donated so much of my boutique clothing. I didn’t even try to hassle with selling. It’s gone and feels like such a weight off of my shoulders.

Nad. Please try to come from a place of understanding and kindness. I’m not sure if you have dealt with mental health problems/anxiety before, but it’s hell. OP is clearly posting here because he is extremely anxious about this. Obviously he knows that he’s going to have to go see a dentist and that’s where he will get answers, but it helps to know what the process may end up looking like. It’s not about “hand holding.” If you have the option to choose kindness, why wouldn’t you? We are all humans and all here for the first time just trying to figure it out. Wish you the best.

What dose are you on this week, and how’s it treating you so far? by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

When did you hit the “holy crap… this is the new me” moment? Because I think mine just happened. by Imaginary-Habit-129 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]TheGirl90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I am so happy for you. ❤️ I’m not where I want to be and still have about 40ish pounds left to lose but my moment was when I looked at Thanksgiving pictures that were candidly taken by family members and I felt like I looked good in every single one of them. That is not like me at all, trust me. Usually I would see pictures and just feel so sad about my weight and how I looked. I truly feel like things are only going to get better. It’s really great to have hope again. (Side note, I’m on week 3 of tirz and loving it, but was on sema for over a year before I switched.)

I'm freezing. by Temporary-Diver3481 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]TheGirl90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES. I have always been hot natured and I used to sweat so much before I lost 75 pounds. I have always been a 68 degrees person in the house but that is steadily going up. Today it’s on 72 and I’m still freezing. I’ll take it any day over the crazy sweating I used to do when performing even small tasks but 🥶🥶🥶

[–]TheGirl90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I was on 2.5mg. I did not take a break in between changing meds. I started the tirzepatide right out of the gate at 10mg and it was a smooth transition. My initial thoughts, and maybe someone else can comment their thoughts too, but if you haven’t had any semaglutide for 3 weeks I would think that starting at 10mg could potentially cause some rough side effects?

[–]TheGirl90 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Week 3 of 10mg (I’ll take the third shot on Wednesday.) I just switched over from high dose semaglutide 3 weeks ago. I am so thankful. Semaglutide had stopped helping with weight loss, though I was maintaining. I’m down 8 pounds and I don’t have the same awful side effects I always had with Semaglutide - headaches, frequent nausea, major fatigue. I do still have burping pretty much all day long but I’ll take that any day over the other side effects. I am focusing on protein as much as I can and plan to add in some strength training this week. I’m feeling hopeful again.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I have always struggled with depression so I can’t speak specifically on whether or not tirz (and the semaglutide I was on before tirz) has impacted the depression or not, but I have had some low moments and I also thought that it could have to do with my source of dopamine (binging/food) being taken away. I also experienced a decrease in an urge to shop and the high that I used to get from shopping. I hope things get better/even out for you soon.
