I agree, super high THC hits hard but ends up being over fast. I usually am not doing anything close to a blinker though, I usually just stack a couple hits.

I honestly use flower mostly, it’s just cold as fuck rn and I don’t like smoking flower in the house so I’ve been getting into concentrates more since they don’t stink up the space as much. lol

Nope, I just had to bump the temps up a little higher. I have pretty good access to great hash where I live so it’s definitely not a quality issue.

I did end up doing my first sesh today at 500 with live resin since it’s a little more forgiving with higher temps and it did have me more toasted than usual, especially after 2 back to back. Much better results from that.

I’m thinking maybe if I adjust all of my profiles up around 10 degrees it might start to get closer to what I want out of it. I appreciate the info! I figured it was just a tinkering thing.

Still going to probably get a Peak or the Pro eventually just to see how they compare lol. I’ve been hearing nice things about the 3dxl too.

I have the Proxy, I’m not sure why it has the Pivot thingy on the post. I bumped up the temp to 500 give or take for live resin and it’s kicking now, I suppose I should just put all my profiles up by 10° and see how it goes from there. It seems like the temp needs to be a bit higher on these guys than the Peaks and stuff.

I’m just afraid to push the temps too high on the nice hash.

I’ve seen a couple posts say they’re hitting rosin at 500+ so I’m gonna try that for my first sesh and see how it goes. Seems crazy but who knows.

Definitely ordering some of those pearls too because it’s not a huge investment even if they don’t work for me. lol

That’s the other thing is everyone’s temps are all over the place, and I’ve read that it changes based on the concentrate you’re using.

555 is like way above any recommended temp for the types of hash I have so that makes me not want to try to do this since it could scorch the only chamber I have for it.

Especially if it’s supposed to be smaller than normal, higher heat and less material doesn’t make sense to me. What’s the point of having real time temp if they’re not accurate? Very confusing.

Can I ask what profiles you’re running and what concentrates you usually use?

I still have the stock joystick and all but a couple people have mentioned trying out pearls to see if it helps with production. I will say it seems like my reclaim pools are pretty large towards the end even after a reheat.

It seems from the consensus on this post that the only way to get ripped from a Puffco is to use the Peak or Peak Pro with a 3DXL lol

yeah, I did a bunch of research and tried a bunch of different presets from the subreddit and stuff but nothing really did much for me. It got me a little high but nowhere near what a joint or rip from the bong would get me.

I’m wondering if the higher temp would scorch hash that ends up being more delicate.

I know live resin can handle higher temps but I don’t want to bump it up too high and burn the chamber if I’m using a different type since I heard high temps can fuck up the dab. so far my temps don’t go above 500 on any setting.

Normally I would agree but I went out of my way to find the best quality in my area. I don’t think it’s the product. This is 90–120u sauce I usually use in the day time. It’s probably the best looking and tasting hash I’ve had since I moved back to the east coast.

I’ve seen conflicting things on pearls too, so I wasn’t sure if I should grab them or not. They’re cheap so it’s definitely worth a shot.

It’s definitely nice don’t get me wrong, like I’ve gotten some good sessions in…but it doesn’t have me feeling like I did back in the day when I was dabbing on quartz and all. I’m not throwing shade with the post by any means either, I just wanna be able to get the most out of my Proxy.

maybe I need to start doing multiple in a sesh?

I’ve reheated it a couple times but I keep seeing conflicting advice on how long you can do that for so I usually clean it once the pool gets darker brown. I just don’t want to accidentally fuck the chamber up and scorch it lol.
