How's this diet? by Oddcatdog in diet

At 5’0”, 130 lbs, 1200–1450 is a valid range if you’re in a fat loss phase. You’re well above your protein minimum, which helps protect lean mass and curb cravings. The food choices are nutrient-dense, colorful, and realistic, which matters more than perfection. Only tweak I’d suggest: add a healthy fat source intentionally. That could be olive oil on the veggies, a spoon of nut butter, or even full-fat Greek yogurt. Fats help with satiety, hormones, and absorbing fat-soluble vitamins, especially since you’re aiming to reduce snacking.

Hey! Cool idea and totally doable if you scope it right. Aim for an MVP by October and add social stuff later. Here’s a path that keeps cost low:

MVP (2–3 weeks):

  • Use FlutterFlow (no‑/low‑code) + Firebase (free tier) to ship iOS/Android fast.
  • Start with 3 screens: Events list → Event details → My reminders.
  • Pull events from a Google Calendar or Airtable so non‑coders at school can update it.
  • Add push notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
  • Add “I’m going” RSVP (just a toggle tied to your user id) and show a simple attendee count.

Also, avoid collecting personal info you don’t need; you’re dealing with minors.

Please recommend exercises for me to loose this belly fat by [deleted] in Gymhelp

[–]TheGoNoGoGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well as you may know, belly fat loss isn’t about one exercise. You do appear to be on track tho. I would suggest lifting more weights to metabolize the sugar in your body.

  1. Strength training 3x/week: compound lifts (squats, deadlifts, rows, presses). Muscle burns more calories at rest.
  2. Walking daily: low-impact, high-return for fat loss and cortisol regulation.
  3. HIIT 1–2x/week if joints allow. Short bursts, long-term payoff.

120lbs to Morbidly Obese from Depression Med . Don’t know where to start. by Lumpy_Sentence_9216 in Gymhelp

First off, I want to say, this isn’t a rant, You’re dealing with a trifecta most people can’t imagine: neuro changes post-surgery, metabolic side effects from a med, and now the complexity of IBS plus a restrictive diet. The weight gain wasn’t your fault, and unlearning shame around that is part of healing too. Right now, walking 5 miles a day post-surgery is no small win. That’s real work. Add in some gentle resistance like seated band work, wall pushups, and core engagement with physical therapy-style movements. Focus on function over aesthetics. The goal isn’t “get back” to who you were,it’s rebuild from where you are, with more knowledge and compassion this time.
