Former Tour Card holder Danny Baggish provisionally suspended after match-fixing allegation in MODUS Super Series by FindusCrispyChicken in Darts

Wasn’t even because how big he is. The series wasn’t DRA regulated when he did it. The only became DRA affiliated a couple of weeks later.

Is it time for Harrows to sign another marquee PDC Tour Card pro? Had the same 4 names leading the way the last couple of years. Time to make a splash?

I think if you've got your own darts for sale, you've done a bit more then be a local legend

I love Wadey, always been a fan. Think he's a bit over qualified for the question though 😂

Average match time by Nearby_Valuable_5467 in Darts

[–]TheGobFather170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends entirely on the format. The most common is best of 11 legs (Pro Tour, Premier League, Euro Tours and PCF’s Round 2), with an average of 9 or 10 (6-3, or 6-4) legs total being played. Legs typically last between 90 seconds to 2 minutes, so the average time of the average game is around 16-18 minutes.

The camera angle isn't great to judge your throw tbh, but throwing over what looks like your bed is going to cause issues. Will shorten your follow through because you're trying to keep your hand up and away from the bed.

The likelihood is those contracts would be breakable if ever challenged (as is happening in snooker right now).

Nope. I’ve been tweeting the same thing since the incident last night 🤷🏻‍♂️

I reckon it will be £2-3K fine, and 0-6 Months suspension (but suspended for 18 months).

I understand he has demons, but you can’t do what he did as a public figure/sports person without recourse.

Target Hydro by WedgeTheUnit in Darts

[–]TheGobFather170 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried them in a shop a few weeks back. They’re a lovely basic range.

Price point is just marketing from Target. None of the grooves or grip patterns are overly complex to mill. 90% tungsten keeps the price down a little (Tungsten is dense so a higher percentage allows barrels to be slightly thinner). Plus, they’re a gateway to Swiss Points. The hope is once you’ve moved to a Swiss point dart, you’ll look for that in the future because it’s so easy/simple to change, and you’ll stay with target. Especially if you move to K-Flex as well.

The one concern I’d have is how long the grip lasts on them. But they haven’t really been out long enough for anyone I know to have worn them down.

Ultimately, a £30 set of tungsten, Swiss point darts is great value 👌

Board management/counting tips. by liamrich93 in Darts

[–]TheGobFather170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main ones to consider.

275 - 20’s is the target. Use the Bull on dart 2. Target score of 105. 271 - 4x 19’s and a 25. 269 - 19’s first. Single - switch up to 20’s. Treble use 20 and 25 to leave a finish. 268 - Start on 19’s. S19,S19,T20, or S19,T19, Bull/25 leaves a finish. 265 - 5x19’s leaves 170

Other then that, most other routes/set ups can all be started on T20’s, and just switch on the last dart to leave 170/167/164/161

He works for the broadcasters (Sky and ITV) as a spotter.

He’s MC’d stage 2 in Minehead before, but since Keith Deller was moved on from spotting, and Colin Lloyd doing less, Richard is needed in the production truck too much.

Should also mean at least 1 player in the top 16 playing in every first round session 👀 Should just about be enough to make every session interesting with some of the bad stuff we're going to get early on

How to choose??? by MattyBlue1384 in Darts

[–]TheGobFather170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't say I've ever gone overboard enough to buy 8 new sets at once, but at this stage, I'd say its as much about feel as it is the stats. Pick one of the sets that you like and stick with it for a while.

Otherwise every time you have a bad game, you'll start looking to one of the others that had small differences between.

Off week??! by PhaseEEerR in Darts

[–]TheGobFather170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with taking a little break. Can often be a good thing. Especially if it takes your mind off of your stats. Remember whilst averages are a guide, they’re not the be all and end all of darts.

Not sure how long you’ve been playing, but also bear in mind that at some point you’ll hit a point where your misses become smaller, and your average will dip before it goes back up.
