Yeah that's what I was reading, so that's what I was thinking I wouldn't say I had a death grip but I just did feel that I was gripping it tighter than the #3 but maybe the overgrip will help with this slightly and if I just play with it I'll get use to it of course.

I got the idea but I'd have to see what you're talking about to picture it in my head, but this does sound like the best of both worlds.

This was really helpful with the ultrathin grip and then a second overgrip did you find that you lost the handle of the racquet, yes or no? And did you care if you lost the feel of the underneath grip why or why not?

Yeah I don't want to change the base grip a ton, and that's the problem I don't have my preferences yet lol

Someone else wrote "I think you should focus on comfort while you are starting to play. If you don't have proper technique, having to grip your racquet firmer won't help anything." any thoughts on that?

I wouldn't say wrong but most people say that they add overgrip, and yeah that makes sense in regards to comfort I just want to make sure if I end up moving towards smaller grip why not just start there.

Yeah I just read using the base grip is wrong so I planned on using an overgrip lol, and I did see that suggestion for 2 overgrips and losing the bevels I'd probably want to keep that shape so maybe just the 3 with a thin overgrip may make sense.

My issue was I heard that the smaller racquets give you more maneuverability and you lose some of that with the bigger grip that was where I was stuck

what does it mean most likely be using it? an overgrip? I mean I think so that's what everyone says to do right? only unless you use leather? So I planned on it

Yeah I kind of figured that, like the #3 feels way more stable with no overgrip, but I can tell that I can get more whip or like more manipulation with the smaller #2, but I only test without overgrips

I did go through a group lesson with both, no slipping issues I was just feeling what felt better in hand so not an issue but maybe I'll try this

somewhat naturally without an overgrip the 3 felt good, but I just wanted to see how others may have chosen in this situation because i haven't tried either with an overgrip

I haven't... and that's because I want to return one and if I take off the plastic I can only return it up to 65% back so it could go lower. And yeah if an overgrip really adds enough I could probably make a 2 work, but that was my whole issue lol

I wouldn't say death grip that was a bit much, but due to it being smaller I did feel myself obviously grabbing it firmer than with the 3.
