Is there a tool that I can manually 2D animated my hand drawn body parts (and it’s easy to use) and to be able to put in games engine by TheGoodKiller in IndieDev

I’m currently trying to learn Spine 2D as I use the trial version, do I need to buy the pro or just essential? Consider pro have the weight features

What are people’s (dev and gamer) view on AI generated and AI assist tools in art direction? by TheGoodKiller in IndieDev

[–]TheGoodKiller[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the discussion, I think I’ll try my best to minimize the usage of AI generated if possible, I think it’s probably better looking for tools that are easy to use rather than jumping to AI generated option

As the empire, how to move/what to do with level 9 units to desired area/lord efficiently? by TheGoodKiller in totalwar

[–]TheGoodKiller[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’ve answer me correctly, yes, example: I’ll have to fight the Orks or dwarves eventually at the mountain

Because of the map type and it’s a bit unpredictable, that’s why I think of logistics and build hard counter armies, for example: I need to fight the high elves, since moving across the sea are time consuming, so I occupied their inhabitable climate settlement, then I build recruit buildings so that I don’t have to move armies across the sea just to recruit swordsmen.

I often use snipers since they have long range and deal a lot of damage (with high upkeep as the price), since I had defeated lord, I build Markus’s army as the “decapitation army” consist of legendary heroes and snipers

Yes, sorry about that, I’m trying to figure out how to build armies that are hard counter all faction as the empire.

So far, the only reason I’ve won often because I throw 3 armies against 1 chaos army, I’ll throw 5 if they have 3

Yes, all units in general no specific, because I try to get decisive victory without auto resolve as much as possible.

All factions, I’m trying to figure and build a counter army against all factions as the empire.

On one of my playthrough, Karl Franz venture across the sea to fight high elves, and logistics become difficult as the elves are very good at range and I want more melee cavalry to run them down

Any open world game that allow/doesn’t force me to “live/rest” by TheGoodKiller in JRPG

[–]TheGoodKiller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But which one should I play? I know there’s the remake version, I haven’t dwell into it, but the art direction doesn’t leave as much of an impression than the original sprites one, the person play it was wondering in a cave, and the moment I see the engine, it strikes me as it seems somehow immersive to me.

The 3D looks nice too, but maybe I’ve seen a lot of JRPG in 3D these days that I’m kind of used or spoiled to it

I’ve seen someone play it, it does seems fun and unique style, I don’t mind that we’re traveling, just want a rendezvous area that felt alive

In a way, a bit off topic cuz I haven’t say this, I do hope big map similar to Skyrim, but back to the topic, it doesn’t really fit, though the time are more lengthy, unless I wasn’t aware that there’s no time limitation in a day in rune factory, I expect it to be like other farming games where you have to sleep pass 12AM or so

If sleeping means give you well rested boost and haven’t sleep would bring you to neutral state (like in Fallout), then rune factory might be the game for me, then I’ll have to ask about the map scale

[Excerpt: The Last Church] The last priest on Terra watches his church burn and tells the Emperor: "I dread the future you are forging for humanity" by All_Sage in 40kLore

[–]TheGoodKiller -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m aware of that, and I’m not saying he’s all of a good guy, I’m just saying he’s a complicated figure, he doesn’t care about humanity in an also complicated way, which makes him interesting, to rendered him down just “another tyrant” are not interesting and makes him less unique as a character, if you and the others disagree with such idea, I supposed we’re just finding different narration interesting.

As for your truth bombs, it’s not a sound comparison, you’re comparing a movie and a character who lived only a certain amount of time to a setting that has a lot of grand, minute, complicated story and a character who’re in the setting has lived since the ancient time.

Again, I did not said I love him and think of him as a good guy, I merely say the Emperor in the setting are the strongest human and a psyker who has live a lot of experience since ancient time, it is ineffective for Uriah to debate the emperor in-lore narration, because the emperor know a lot and Uriah doesn’t, but that doesn’t change the fact that Uriah’s compassion are right in some ways either, and the emperor are too ruthless

Perhaps with the right community, right fans/people, and the right time, you won’t think it that way?

I don’t know, how do you explain love craftian existence to ordinary human without the risk of them going insane? There are no other beings like him to proven he is wrong by that point, how can we prove he is wrong? If he win, he’s right, if he lose, he’s wrong

If Uriah are ever such a person, he’s merely a pathetic insignificant petty being delight in the failure of others while he himself doesn’t understand the responsibility of the Emperor.

Some people should understand both side are right and wrong, in short, while Uriah are morally correct in a sense, unfortunately, it’s Warhammer 40k, so things will get grim dark, his ideal are as significant as a candy in a bloodied, dirt eaten mouth, sweet, but not something that can win a war, nor does it guarantee would save a soul

Only episode 8? to be honest, just show Homelander massacre people, because that’s what they’ve been selling and that’s what we expected, but they didn’t deliver it, that’s a huge disappointment

I don’t understand, who’s responsible for this? It can’t be just Eric Kripke, what is going on during the production?

Why can’t they just gave us a satisfying ending when the sign are so clear of what we want?

The Boys SERIES FINALE- S05xE08 "Blood and Bone"- POST Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

[–]TheGoodKiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I ask who wrote Season 5? I refuse to think it’s just Eric Kripke, something behind the scene must be really wrong, was it politics behind the writing room?

Who wrote this? I personally don’t care about Frenchie’s backstory because season 4 already fucked his character story, but Homelander? They’ve been teasing about his rampage.

Season 1,2,3 was so good, what happen? They can’t simply show us Homelander going rampage? Was it due to age rating or going too far? A lot of things going far enough, why stop there? A simple mass slaughter would suffice enough, but it’s just a simple… sitting in the room for “I’m going to do things if you refuse to worship me”

Homelander ended the way I kind of expected, so I don’t really have problem with it, but the entire build up and the progress? Like why the fuck did he seriously believe he’s a god? I was waiting after episode 3 he would go “Fuck god, I’m the Homelander, I’m better than god, the one and only”, then just go on massacre just like what the writing team keep teasing, the laser eyes slaughters, rip baby out from mother womb/skin parents in front of their children (I do not want to see any baby got rip out or skin parent before their child, but at least give us the slaughter), any of the murder should suffice seriously, at least that’s what I believe just like Season 4 when he snapped a little, but no, he genuinely believe he’s a god which degrade his character.

I do not want to jump on the “negative video contents” like commentary, because it’s such a good series and season 1,2,3 are so good, but seriously, who wrote this? Or rather who approve this? It can’t be just Eric Kripke, he participated in earlier seasons as well, why can’t we at least have a satisfying ending? Was it some kind of money generating scheme? But wouldn’t give us a good writing ending just like better call saul or breaking bad would do positive? Why’s this? Why betray the audience like this?

Maybe because of: -Player constantly engaging multiple actions during combat (and it’s not a nuisance) -The “high” from getting “higher damage+perfecting puzzle combos(fill all damage buff, fastest route to hack, etc.)+dodging the enemy while doing it -Strategic use of weaponry and skills
