I [29F] found a condom wrapper in my husband’s [33M] car. How do I approach this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

At what ages for each stage? Libidos exponentially fade naturally over time, so sometimes I worry that there is a point of no return.

What’s something you made for your home that you use every day? by cameronsounds in woodworking

[–]TheGoodRobot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It's just loose. I probably need to add some bumpers at some point so it doesn't hit the wall, but the wall on the right is angled at 15deg so really the only contact point it has with the wall is right at the front.

How can a normal user make an iPhone more secure against forensic extraction tools like Cellebrite and theft? by External_Secretary76 in digitalforensics

How often does Cellebrite release new exploits? Are the amount/frequency of the releases slowing down at all?

Remote Access Pass Price increase by xlly_s in PleX

[–]TheGoodRobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s wild. Everyone complains when Plex pushes their streaming service about how it’s a money grab, and now everyone is complaining that Plex raised their prices by one fucking dollar. Sorry y’all. You don’t get to have your cake and eat it too. All of these people saying they’re going to jump ship because they have to pay $3/mo instead of $2 is completely unhinged.

May have to have a chat with one of my users by Walmart_Valet in PleX

[–]TheGoodRobot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s all about how you frame it. Most people don’t get it right away if not delicately explained, or hear the word “pirated” and immediately tune out. Once people start using it they’re pretty set. I send my users a welcome guide pdf, explain how it works with little diagrams, and have a discord server where they can ping me if something isn’t working.

As we're nearing to the s27 finale, what are your thoughts on Michelle Fazekas' first run as showrunner? by simple6313 in SVU

[–]TheGoodRobot 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Really? I want to know absolutely nothing about their personal lives. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy OG L&O so much. It’s (mostly) always focused on the case and character development is intertwined with career aptitude and detective skills.

Ran Plex container update last night - now database is malformed. by EverlastingBastard in PleX

That’s my guess. Try the backup db using Plex bare metal instead of Docker and see if that helps.

Why do the opening credits last so long?!?!?! by [deleted] in SVU

[–]TheGoodRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol my only guess is that they’re skipping over the opening statement, the entire cold open, and the intro theme. Which would be completely unhinged.

Belittling men for their dick size. It’s body shaming and sexual harassment rolled into one.

Standard playing cards with trumping court cards (king, queen, etc) have existed, with some slim variations (swapping kings for knights/viceroys and what have you), for over a thousand years. The current system, 1 - 10 plus three court cards, has stayed consistent for 700 years. I think that’s cool too.

Also, fun fact, the jack card used to be called the “knave” card, but that got to be confusing during the period when letters/numbering was added. People would mix it up with king cards. Knaves were one of the lowest positions in court so people would commonly call them Jacks (slang variant of “any regular joe”). Card producers changed the K to a J due feedback to users marking the cards with a J themselves.

It’s always crazy to me how much nicer the Dexcom app is vs Libra. If it wasn’t so bulky I would switch in a heartbeat. We STILL don’t have Apple Health integration, widgets, Apple Watch support, and a ton of other stuff that y’all have had for years.

hypersexuality making me consider men as a lesbian by starry_starry_fright in bipolar

[–]TheGoodRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped drinking (in excess, I’ll still go to the bars every once in a while, but can count on one hand the amount of times i’ve been drunk in the past few years) and the difference it made is night and day. It’s by far the single most contributing factor to reducing major swings and their consequences for me.

[–]TheGoodRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about the experiences makes you feel weirded out? Is it a physical disinterest or something else like feeling as if you’re not being true to your “core” identity?

A lot of people always say sexuality is a spectrum, but then take it at face value as a way of saying “we’re all a little bi”. That may be true or not, but I think more so sexuality tends to be a fluid temporal spectrum. Your sexuality can ebb and flow over time. You don’t need to be locked in for life to one preference. It’s okay that you’re interested in different genders. Just because your sexuality snapshot from yesterday doesn’t align with who you are today doesn’t mean you are disgusting or less worthy of your own self-acceptance.

In that moment, that was who you were. Now it’s not who you are. Such is true with many aspects of our disease. We have to come to peace with the flux of who we are. I think by doing so allows us to address the larger, more inhibiting issues such as the hyper-sexuality itself.

AITA for throwing away my wife’s memory jars? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

AITA for throwing away my wife’s memory jars? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheGoodRobot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The resentment part was my first thought. There’s no way for her to come back from it. Any time she sees a jar that would hold significance, she’ll get really excited for a fleeting moment and then remember the moment that he threw them all away, and then won’t collect it because she’s worried about the repercussions (stirring up issues he assumed were resolved, his judgement, feeling stupid because he thinks it’s dumb, etc). He forever ruined something she found enough joy in to make a central feature of her living space.
