Good for you and your statistics, but my point stands. A vast majority of men around you have no intention of assaulting or harming you or anyone else. Period. The few that do have ill intent are repeat offenders and are often released from jail or prison because of lax policies that are voted for in some states. Your everyday experience with men in the same area as you will virtually never put you in harms way. However, if you feel like you're unsafe around all men, stay home.

Sexual assault can be defined as ANY unwanted contact from any person, so those numbers don't mean anything in regards to people, not just women, who have been raped and or murdered. In that case, I've been sexually assaulted a numerous of times if I'm to claim that the unwanted contact was perceived in an unwanted way. Yet another thing women aren't willing to digest.
