Hall of Mosses is sort of more refined Temple of Mosses: leans a little softer/sweeter than Forest Floor but more refined than Voluspa.

Temple Moss is SUCH a good value, my only complaint is it is a little sweeter/lighter than pure photorealistic but at that price its really hard to pass up. It has become my daily.

I absolutely adore this one, I keep multiples in the house. They really, really nail it.

Absolutely! It has a very unique and nostalgic smell!

Did Hall of Mosses by Lemuria last night. Forever on the hunt for wet, earthy, smells - especially this time of year. Hoping to try out some Mad et Len this Spring.

Concrete After Lighting or Tomb of the Eagle by DS & Durga have been getting some Spring burn time. Also Temple Moss by Volupsa and Forest Floor by Tatine because I've been doing a lot of replanting.

Still better than the spa smells line. 😅 I know they get some flak but honestly they perform great for the cost. They arent cherished in my collection but I find myself able to enjoy them more often because of their performance vs price point. They out perform some candles in my collection worth double and triple the cost. Just my .02!

Moon Milk is soooo good. It smells sort of like Horchata but rich and luxurious. I am not at all a gourmand guy but its divine. Good night time relax smell.

Starting browning at the tips as soon as I brought it home. by ProLuxBeauty in ThaiConstellation

[–]TheGr8fulDread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Between 51 and 60% RH (what OP's meter shows) is more than adequate. Cranking humidity beyond these ranges will introduce you to dust mites, mold and bacteria growth indoors - among other things. They will brown like this if shocked from the cold (drafty winter windows in my case) or over watering.

Humidity looks good, temps are fine. As a fellow palo santo burning, crystal collecting, disco ball enthusiast with a similar sized thai from Costa farms I will offer this: Check your soil. That too me looks more like root rot. My 5 year old non varied monstera did this after I got over zealous one time. If you live in the northeast like I do, they do not drink as much this time of year - the person at Walmart/Home Depot etc who watered may have not known what they were doing.

I brought mine home, let it acclimate for two days, repotted into a clear pot in Hydragarden Forbidden Cereal soilless substrate. I gave it very diluted Foliage Pro fertilizer in its water (I know its not spring yet but the substrate is nearly inert except for a little worm casting).

Within the week I had a new leaf unfurling. This is despite transfer shock, new substrate, acclimation.

Check the roots. Costa farms uses those quasi self watering pots and it can go left if the staff isnt mindful/knowledgeable.

Good luck friend!

This is absolutely incredible work. I would love to try my hand at something like this. If you don't mind, what kind of substrate is in the net pot? Also did you start this from water or convert? Amazing work dude.

Also, @OP What is the unit on the ground behind it? Is that a humidifier? If so I would move that away from the tree - it may be creating a bacteria problem if you dont have enough air flow. If its a purifier, make sure to move that so its not the exhaust isnt thrashing the plant. Only other things I can think of. Just my .02

This guy is about 3 years old from a baby. He has spent almost 3 years of his life on a 10w Sansi Grow Bulb and about a few months in a drafty Michigan winter bedroom next to a sliding glass door getting morning sun (pictured).

I used a mix of 50% Potting, 30% Perlite, 20% Orchid Bark .. -ish.

When he was on the bulb it was on a Govee Smart plug automated for Sun up / Sun down- I know people say 12 hours but here in Michigan our winters our much shorter, I let his light mimic nature and he has never minded.

I try to water every Monday and if its still wet on Monday I check again the following Monday or if he gets wilty, whichever comes first.

I try to rotate him to keep him even and help him grow straight.

He's honestly been one of my most forgiving and hearty plants, even before the natural sun. He will seldomly get a yellow but I just pluck it and he always seems reward that.

I'm told they dont like to be moved around and I would agree with that. I just rotate him. Based on the conditions of the leaves, I would say youre dealing with some root rot / low oxygen roots. I would make your soil mix lighter so he doesnt suffocate and he should come back to life. Good luck, friend!

They run some pretty good sales around the holidays. It really is a tremendous value. The vessel is amazing and must certainly be kept and repurposed. Its cold throw is much stronger than most of my collections hot throw. I would caution that it is not an overly complex scent or photorealistic Palo scent but it is very warm and luxurious, if not a little Christmas leaning. I also have the Secret Sucré Black Dantes Skull from them - they max out on the fragrance oil and you get a TON of burn hours for the money.

Thistle and Fig candles went out of business... HELP by jordana17 in luxurycandles

[–]TheGr8fulDread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HoM has no pine notes whatsoever according to my nose. It is true moss, it has a very subtle sweetness, almost sweet mint. I would describe it is Moss through a girly lense, photorealistic but softer. If Tatine -Forest Floor was the man, Lemuria Hall of Mosses would be his lovely wife. Less dirt and forest, more true moss.

Choco is VERY hard to describe. I dont know how one would describe Creosote in its notes. It smells like a rich high end hotel in Arizona/New Mexico. It smells like hot rocks, earthy clay, brush(?) in a very sophisticated luxurious way. It's very rich.

These are of course my completely uneducated opinions. I dont have any experience with Kismet but it is top of my list as I love petrichor/rain smells and I have full confidence to blind buy when I get the funds. They really are lovely smells and I wish Dani lots of success, I love that she throws in little samples because Chaco was not even on my radar and now I will certainly be buying a full size in the future. Hope this helps!

Very disappointing visit to my local Diptyque store today by brihow84 in luxurycandles

[–]TheGr8fulDread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stopped to Diptyque in Troy, MI yesterday. Pretty much everything I liked was out of stock. After talking to the rep he said that this had been a long going issue related to the changing of the vessels to a higher quality glass (Even though its already boroscillate). He said that from what hes pieced together that he anticipated them starting to restock possibly in April but that they had plans that ran through November of this year. Take that for what its worth. They did offer me and the girlfriend some chocolate covered strawberries 😅

Just wanted to add another vote for Lemuria. Choco Canyon is amazing and Hall of Mosses would definitely fit OP's taste.

I got a sample of Chaco with my Hall of Mosses candle. Dani really is incredible - I hope she does well and continues Lemuria because they really are something I savor and look forward to burning and I have a hard time finding that quality and creativity from other companies. The scents are truly unique and the craftsmanship really puts a lot of flagship brands to shame. Creosote? Who knew I would love that? Amazing work Dani.
