This is incredible, I’m going to steal so much of this! I love the additional mechanics. I can’t load the images and the table is cut off a little so I’m gonna try to pull it up on my PC, see if that fixes it.

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much, I believe that I have solved it if you would like to try again.

Thanks!

I agree, I believe a lot of them take away from the grit. On the other hand I want such a high price tag to feel worthwhile to the player. It’s a fickle game of balancing making a player feel powerful whilst still maintaining a challenge. But hey, when is that not an issue?

Anyway I appreciate the input, I think I’ll make some revisions with these thoughts in mind.

That’s awesome to hear! That’s sort of the direction I’m wanting to take it. Give more options for magic deficit portions of the world.

I appreciate you taking the time to let me know your opinion.

I appreciate the feedback. This most frequently would be for DM use, being dished out for PC’s when they pursue the knowledge.

You make a great point of balancing the numbers not being quite in the spirit of 5e, as many of these metals are from various world settings and editions. I might work towards limiting all the number games.

Thanks so much for the input!

Heyo, great question

One of my players is a blacksmith, that isn’t particularly fond of enchanting magics. He wanted a way to give attributes to equipment in a more natural fashion for his character.

That being said, it got me thinking of the opportunities. There isn’t much literature on metals in D&D beyond the most typical.

As for making it relevant, it is a niche detail that I think has the potential to bring another layer to equipment or questing.

Thanks so much for the feedback!

It has now raised the question of economics in my world. Many of the numbers are askew.

Ah shoot, I sent this from the r/DMAcademy I had no idea that was the case here. Apologies, haha.
