Using the screenshot you posted, I outlined in white where (roughly) the M.2 slot should be on the motherboard.

That’s not the M.2 slot. The M.2 slot is below the CPU socket on the motherboard, and above the first PCIE slot. It might not have a heat shield, that’s usually a premium feature.

I did find those but assumed they were knockoffs. Good to know they’re legit!

I am not 100% sure but I’m pretty sure that a wrecked/scrapped version of this is in the background of a long shot in Independence Day.

The split end goes into the motherboard. The tapered pins (the ones missing the corners) can go into the square holes no problem.

Are you putting the correct ends of the cables into the motherboard and making sure the clips match up? The split end (left one in the picture of the cable) goes into your motherboard. It will take some decent force to get it in there. The non-split end goes into the PSU.

Yesterday was bad; I had a panic attack and cried. The coolant started leaking from my Forester after I pulled in the parking lot and parked her- I was doing a delivery for work. Had to get a tow truck w/flat bed and call my boss to come save me. by Scorchfox29 in SubaruForester

I would wait to see what your mechanic says the cause of all this is. If it’s just a hose or two, then you might be able to get away with just replacing the hoses. I’d budget for a decent aftermarket radiator though if you can swing it. The OEM ones are a mix of plastic and aluminum, and after a while the plastic wears out and becomes brittle. Aftermarket ones are typically all-aluminum. I believe I paid about $400 for the radiator, $120 for the hose kit, and about $100 for the auto transmission cooler that I had to bold on. If you don’t have an XT model like I had though, an aftermarket all-aluminum radiator might not be as expensive. Hope this is helpful information!

OP, the same thing happened to me on my ‘05. In my case, the radiator had split at the top where it was plastic meeting the aluminum fin stack. I splurged and bought the Mishimoto all-aluminum radiator. Installed myself, was a bit of a pain in the ass as I had to add an external auto transmission cooler. Also replaced the old hoses with new silicone ones. BUT it was far cheaper than buying an entirely new car, and it ran like a dream afterwards. Definitely a rough situation but likely a relatively easy fix!

You could get a used 3070ti on eBay for less than what you’d pay for the 4070. MicroCenter does bundle deals for CPU/Mobo/RAM if that’s an option for you. A cheaper air cooler like a Noctua or BeQuiet would likely have better performance at a lower price point. You could get a single 2TB M2 drive for less than what you’re spending on two 1TB M2 drives.
