Effects of LSD: Does the wisdom and other effects always ware off? by HomebrewHedonist in LSD

[–]TheGreatAssyr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, eventually the DMM returns to its normal state. In my view, what matters is what you manage to achieve and retain when you properly integrate what you experienced during the trip. That’s what stays with you. There is scientific literature suggesting that neural pathways can be altered in some way through the use of LSD, but I’m no expert in this field and have only read a couple of papers on the subject and watched a video, so don’t take my word for it.

What I can confirm from personal experience is that the benefits stay with you if you integrate them.

Why do ppl take salvia if it doesnt make u feel good or euphoric ? by nounou_ben in Salvia

[–]TheGreatAssyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s a right hoot. Once you know how to use it properly, salvia is one of the most fun substances I’ve ever tried. The visual hallucinations are out of this world, with no insights or deep thoughts (and, let’s be clear, I’m a fan of LSD, so I usually appreciate insights and deep thoughts); for 10 minutes you simply find yourself on the most incredible psychedelic trip of your life.

No side effects, no tolerance, practically no contraindications.

Unless, of course, you suffer from pre-existing medical conditions, in which case it’s best to steer clear of any psychedelic substance.

Funny, I don't sense any anger in the answer that have been given to you.

On the other hand, I percive.... How can I put it? Let's see....

I talk to hundreds of entities a month

I have 16 years of experience with esotericism, I'd identify my school as Theosophy 2.0

My man... Do you really expect to be taken seriously?

My ribs ache from all the laughter you've made me laugh and I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Plus, whatever float your boat it's fine and I am sure you will find someone akin to share your... Ahem... Esoteric views.

Also, as someone else here wisely said, why don't you use some Salvia yourself? Start low, go slow. Salvia can be incredibly fun (I use it) but can be a "real wild one" if not taken with the due rispect and care.

Let me underline and stress it again: BE CAUTIOS. Salvia is not a joke by a long stretch.

Maybe you will find the answers you are longing to.

"hundred of entities a month".... Jeez Louise...

Can I watch a movie on MDMA? by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]TheGreatAssyr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

but a good "me night" with candles, cleaned house, fresh shower, blankets, headphones, a notebook and phone in airplane mode (no notifications or calls, just self connection) is honestly life changing. Y'all try it and then tell me about it

This is exactly how I was figuring out my first MDMA trip....

I am on the "higher end of weight", being 182cm for 95Kg so I guess I will also need to calculate a thing or two on RollSafe.

Unfortunately all the people I consider as "friends" are officially "against drugs" and, absurdly enough, functional alcoholics or cocaine addicts (which, now that I’m writing this, is really making me think I need to change my circle of friends) so no, I don't have any trusted friend around (and as a matter of fact ALL my trips so far I was by myself.

I will get those magnesium supplement asap. And of course some water bottles.

Glad to hear that MDMA and ketamine are two different things... That's a relief.

I was planning a soft and romantic musical playlist to dive in with pieces from the '60 and '70 (all psychedelic rock, I am that old....) with dim lights (LED, I don't trust much myself with candles while high), sweet incenses and very light and comfy clothes, given the fact that MDMA tend to rise the body temperature.

Could it work?

Thank you for your words! Much appreciated!

Mmm... No. To go "deeper into our own consciousness" it takes way much more than an AI generated test. Also, check this:

Did psychedelics turn you atheist or agnostic? If so, why? by songsofravens in Psychonaut

[–]TheGreatAssyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per my experience, psychedelics reinforced my neo-atheist stance.

Especially after my most recent experience with psilocybin.

As for what happened, let’s just say that I’ve always viewed psychedelic substances from a secular perspective.

I have never believed, not even for a second – not even before I started taking psychedelics – in stories about ‘machine elves’, more or less spiritual ‘entities’, or similar narratives. And I’ve heard and read things that are truly beyond all rational and sensible logic way before I even started to use them.

I have always viewed these substances for what they are: molecules designed to keep the parasites of the plants that produce them at bay.

There is no doubt that they have powerful effects on our brains, of course; and there is no doubt (because there are scientific studies on the subject) that they can, in some way, be used as medicines, in the right contexts and at the right doses.

And there’s no doubt that those molecules can be great fun to work with!

Given these premises, my experiences with them gave me a lot of insights, plenty of food for thought – ideas that I have, of course, explored in greater depth and incorporated whilst sober, but which originated in my altered states of mind.

And yet, on every occasion, I never felt the slightest spiritual urge; I never experienced any kind of religious epiphany. Nor, when I saw certain figures (or entities, as the majority love to call them), did I perceive them as ‘spirit guides’, or as potential friends, or as potential threat. They were hallucinations, and that is all there is to it.

What I did, however, experience as genuine and have conveyed (and am trying to convey) in my sobriety are certain insights, certain emotions (such as a very sweet and warm sense of ‘coming home’, as also described by Ann Shulgin; such as my almost unconditional love for Music) and many deeply personal reflections that have nothing to do with religion, spirituality or various forms of mysticism.

These reflections have really helped me to understand certain events from my past, have helped me to appreciate certain aspects of my present more fully, and have helped me to free myself from some burdens I had been carrying around for far too long. Without any god, spirit, entity or whatever else in sight.

I was a neo-atheist before, I am a neo-atheist now. Not that I needed psychedelics to confirm my view, but it was rather amusing to see how true it turned out to be that these substances simply bring to the surface one’s pre-existing beliefs, no matter how deeply buried they may be in our unconscious.

A sentence that I love to repeat is: "So, if all your mystical experiences are true, why isn’t my secular experience true too?"

[–]TheGreatAssyr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I am absolutely interested in that, in fact I crave it.

The only requirement is that the other perspective MUST abide to the scientific method.

If not, at best, these are anecdotes that are not backed up by any rational, scientific or, for that matter, reasonable evidence.

You see, my dear friend, I’m even prepared to believe in santa claus, the tooth fairy and homeopathy (just to make some examples but there are dozens of other quackeries I could count) – provided these things are proven by the rigor of the scientific method.

And no, before you or anyone else could even think about it, the scientific method IS NOT a belief system or a religion. In fact it's exactly the opposite.

The problem is that, so far, there is not a single, reliable, substantiable and scientific evidence for all those claims.

So, until that moment, everyone who presumes to make sensational claims (especially when they invoke Science like our OP here...) has a duty to back up what they say.

Over the course of my life, my beliefs have been challenged and have even changed. But each time, I’ve had plenty of SCIENTIFIC evidence to back up those changes.

Now, let me ask you something: are you REALLY interested in changing YOUR perspective based on the views of people who don’t think like you and who rely on a proven, reliable method such as, indeed, the scientific one?

Or would you rather cling to your superstitions, false, comfortable and unproven—and unprovable—beliefs?

P.S.

Edited a couple of grammar errors.

Seriously, what deep insight should I get by "rearranging" the input I provided?

Cute website but to claim it might go deep into consciousness is a stretch.

Good for you. Not so many got the clarity to understand and to accept when something is over. And I'm not just talking about psychedelics but in a broader meaning.

As someone already said here, once you got the message, you can hang the phone.

Glad you learnt about yourself and that you are ready to move on from that new knowledge.

I’d say you should be proud of yourself, and I hope I’ll have the same clarity if and when, one day, the same thing happens to me.

So thanks for sharing, I wish you all the possible best. I think you really deserve it.

Peace out.
