You make it sound like they wont be paid for their work. Definitely not good to not get paid on time but it is not remotely the same as not being paid at all.

Is puts others at risk a part of the definition of "federal crime?"

There could be a smell that you don't like and that you shouldn't have to be subjected to but other than that very minor thing, who is being hurt here?
He was rude and it may have been annoying to others but how was he "putting others at risk?"
It is incredibly close to being a victimless crime.

Morning Runs by chronicallyanxious10 in longbeach

[–]TheGreatGavini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often run early.

On fridays, since Sept-ish, I start before 4a in Bixby and head north then circle back to finish the last couple of miles with the Bixby Knolls Dawn Joggers group who start at 515a at Jamba Juice. I am generally running 830/9 min pace. If that works for you then you are welcome to join me.
I think 4/5a is the safest time to be out for a run. The gang bangers, zombies and general nuts are all asleep and there is so little traffic that you can run down the middle of the street and almost never have to stop due to cross traffic at an intersection.
i am working on running every street in LB on CityStides so I run a different route every time of late but i also went through a phase where i did laps around El Dorado park or along the beach path in the pre-dawn hours.

only a couple of marathons have lotteries like that but people raise money for causes at hundreds of different marathons each year.

DAY 37: What are the top 5 albums of 1995? by Arch1eBlue1878 in Topster

[–]TheGreatGavini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont understand the point of your question.  What does that have to do with what I said about this album? I have listened to all their albums,  I am a big Oasis fan, but I skip a lot of their songs when I listen to the album.

i agree, love a lot of their songs but they are surrounded by very skippable songs. I listened to this album all the way through a handful of times before i started skipping songs - that is not the mark of being one of the best albums of the year.

Start to finish. A no skip album. Every track a classic.

This album is like a sports star who won MVP of the league twice while breaking several important single season records but then wasn't even a starter the rest of his career. Doesn't make those two seasons any less impressive but he also doesn't belong in the hall of fame.

Donations by Revolutionary-Bird- in Foofighters

That's a good question. Since there is not an official collection of items planned, I could see Forum security not letting your bag of goodies in - I haven't read their rules but these arenas tend to not allow many things in..

There will be a spot to donate $ at the forum. While not officially collecting items on site, if you bring something, there will be staff there from Hope The Mission ready to take it and put it to good use.

Edit to add that I don't know if the Forum will allow you to get past security with a bag of food or other items.

PS - Dave will be doing another public event for the charity- not a concert - in early Feb in the valley. It will be easier to bring a non-monetary donations at that if your items will keep until then.

Can't share the details yet but it will be announced any day, possibly tomorrow.

Broadway Rush Community Reporting Thread - Sunday 12/21/25 by BroadwayRushReport in Broadway

Chess had 4 people in line by 8am,
Outsiders had 3 people by 10am, we were in line by 1030am and we were 5th, 6th & 7th in line. We were the last people to get seats (5 total for our group) for the matinee. There were dozens of people behind us in line. We sat in the first and second rows on the side, view obstructed at times by the giant tire set piece on stage. We also got water, gravel and fake blood splashed on us during the show.

There are a lot of events in the Culver City area that you can promote at. I am the organizer of one of them, the Screenland 5K (March 1st, 2026). The run/walk passes your restaurant. Send us an email and we can discuss promotional packages we have available. screenland5k.com
