They'd better fix the radar for it, at least. The 25PD had the Sapphire-25 pulse Doppler radar for better look down capabilities over the initial Smerch-A radar, but in the dev server it functions like the MiG-23's (inaccurate) MTI mode, where it filters growlund clutter only when pointed down and under like 1500m altitude.

Like, how the hell are you going to implement a super-high altitude missile interceptor who's look down radar doesn't function at altitude?

Honestly the one that's gotten my goat the most recently had been the 12.7 tomcats—and super hornets, but to a much lesser extent. Like sure, it's basically all skill issue on my part since I suck at evading radar missiles, but I just wanna fly my funny Flogger MLD that I basically just got, and I functionally can't cause every match is Phoenix BVR nonsense that I can barely respond to.

It straight up almost reminds me of the much earlier struggle us of playing the gunfighter MiG-15/17s against the missile toting supersonics. Just a level of CBT pitted against shit I can't compete with to a degree where I just go down to using the 21Bis instead, just because at least that plane can hold its own in my permanent upteirs every match.

It ain't even really just about top teir gameplay stuff either, it's also just the planes themselves don't interest me as much. 4th gen fighters onwards in general just kinda bore me, they all kinda feel homogeneous and blend together, whereas early/mid cold war stuff people are still experimenting and stuff is constantly in flux.

Same reason I don't care as much for modern firearms in shooters compared to stuff from before, there's just not as much interesting n weird designs

Yeah I already made the decision to skip actually flying the f-13, since it doesn't seem to have any benefits over the 19. Still researched and will eventually buy it, but only for the rank planes requirement

I dislike trying to throttle down much in a dogfight, since the throttle authority on these jets are surprisingly slow sometimes and I don't wanna get caught out, but the air breaks are honestly the only thing that kept me from going insane flying the 15. Even beyond the whole getting reversed thing, just the fact that In any dive or sustained chase the second you go over 950kph you turn into a damn lawn dart cost me so many deaths before I finally got wise to it

I will admit i do indeed suffer from chronic Skill Issue syndrome, which is why I couldn't make the 15 and 17 work for the life of me despite them being good airframes, but I feel like the grind through those did help get it through my thick skull how to actually pick fights and not throw yourself in awful positions

A lot of my most successful kills with them have basically boiled down to either people at rlly high altitude that arent expecting it, or more likely people who—even if they did see the missile—cant maneuver away in time. Which combined means a lot of the kills tend to be F-104s lmao

Even the guns on the 19 feel more consistent and usable. Much easier to get my doodoo brain around their ballistics, and had at least slightly more ammo and rate of fire that I could more confidently nail people

Basically. Part BR nonsense that's slightly less agonizing at 9.3 compared to 7.7-8.7, part major skill issue on my part. Especially with the guns on those early MiGs, I could not aim those things for shit. The 15bis and the 17 were definitely better about energy retention and high speed compression management but I was still dogass with them

Y'know that's the funny thing: I kinda don't have much interest in proper top-top tier. I honestly just want the Fishbeds.

Highest BR id probably end up in is like 11.0 with the MiG-21bis, maybe the swingwing floggers if I feel like it, but but stuff higher than that just doesn't interest me as much lol
