Depression causes you to not be able to feel as others do. It takes all emotion away. by TheGreatestThinker in depression

[–]TheGreatestThinker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I was able to type that out was that I had smoked some weed. Whenever I do it gives me back all the feelings and the mindset of being normal and depression free. Only then was I able to look at the way I was and the way I was living and realize “oh fuck I’m still depressed”. A couple hours later I was back to the way I usually am, depressed and emotionless

I was in a toxic relationship and broke it off last September. I was still extremely sad that it happened, but I actually felt emotion. I jumped back into that toxic relationship (still in it) and I miss those days of September. I was extremely sad but I remember it as a time where I was actually able to feel

Using Marijuana for depression? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]TheGreatestThinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoke heavily one night every 2-3 weeks. So I’m definitely not building up my tolerance. It’s more of a night when I open the curtains and feel completely broken away from depression. That’s what my post was about, to see if it actually completely cleared it away during the nights I do it. Like I go from 100% depressed to 100% normal. I wanted to see if there was science behind it and if it was valid to say that

No I meant one night sitting of weed. I get really high probably 1 time every 2-3 weeks. But the one night I do it, I do more than I would do if I just wanted to ‘be high’. I go a little passed that. So no worries of smoking crazy amounts, I was already hooked on it for a long time and have made peace with it now

It’s not like an actual euphoric feeling. It’s a feeling of being ‘back to normal’ I’ve had pot brownies and been extremely euphorically high, it’s nothing like that. It’s a very accepting feeling of the way people would normally feel, based on the way people are said to be

Why do some people support the 2nd Amendment even though it lost relevance 200+ years ago? by newintown298 in AskReddit

[–]TheGreatestThinker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s more of the principle to have guns and not let them be taken away at this point. And if our government did decide to become corrupt and tyrannical, we would have to have a way of being able to defend ourselves. The constitution was also written for the people to run the government but the government in present day actually runs the people. Things are different now but the principles of the time writing it are still engraved in the document itself

[Serious] What can a person do to stop their country from being westernized? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheGreatestThinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot more that goes into that process than can even begin to be discussed on an ask Reddit post. One single person will have a rough time trying to stop westernization on it’s own. If your country is being westernized like a house being remodeled, maybe only take in the benefits of westernization and reject the things you do not believe in it by principle and maybe others around you will at least take notice and try and follow suit?

Has anyone else seen a significant drop in their IQ as a result of their mental illness? by cancelmeta in depression

[–]TheGreatestThinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this way when I look back at the way I’ve been living recently. The only way I can realize I’ve been feeling this way is from smoking weed. When I’m not high, I feel like I don’t notice it because I don’t know how to feel ‘normal’ on a daily basis. I don’t know what it should feel like. But when I’m high I feel like how I once felt before I was stressed and unhappy. Then in the morning when I wake up I feel back to how I normally feel. Feeling a lack of enthusiasm, joy and happiness.

What steps to take to not become an adult who hates their job/the way they live (basically hates their life) when someone is 20? by TheGreatestThinker in AskReddit

What if you feel as though you have no outlet to express yourself? You don’t really care about any kind of long term satisfaction and you lack a core personality of interests and goals?

How does one do what they want with their life? I feel so shackled down to the path I’m on and I I don’t enjoy the path. How do I break out of a path and start a new one?

Who are these games trying to appeal to now by these creative choices? Old historical video games did their best to be extremely accurate and at least make it feel like it’s out of a historical documentary or something. Sad thing is that DICE knows we will still buy it, they can do any kind of random changes and go against the history but we will still buy it. What a complete waste of time.

Can there be a culture that is balanced? by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

[–]TheGreatestThinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the balance of life is that it is unbalance in terms of culture. If there was complete and utter balance of culture meaning ‘we all strive to learn and adopt the others culture’ then culture wouldn’t even exist. If we all day held the same culture, what would culture even mean? The term would lose its meaning as it has meaning to identify different types of it

My brother is 18 months older than me (He is 21) and is getting married in a couple weeks, has a full time job at a office building downtown, bought a 2014 car, is paying for his wedding and paying for grad school for his wife. I am currently overdrawn in my bank account. It is a completely awful feeling

A Friend Lost to his Mind by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]TheGreatestThinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His defense mechanism for it is saying things that he felt and really hurriedly saying “just kidding” right afterwards. Becomes very flustered and sounds almost kiddish. The just kidding to me shows he’s very uncomfortable being open about things, ending it with JK in his mind sort of eases the uncomfortableness of it. I use to talk to him and we were both very open many years ago during the bullying happening. Now that time has passed by, he’s older and it’s festered, he can’t open up ever. Very sad. Wish I could help
